Beats more expensive headphones out the park
I’ve tried so many different headphones. I wear glasses and work a desk job, finding headphones that don’t hurt my head has been a struggle. I normally use my AirPods Pro. They’re great and set an annoyingly high bar for quality, but I hate having things in my ears for long periods of time. Hence, my hunt. These are the cheapest and also the best headphones I’ve tried.These are comfortable. I’ve worn them for hours without that stabbing head pain. The sound is great. The ANC is just okay, but is great at blocking out constant noise – think wind, white noise, loud ACs. It isn’t great at blocking out voices, but it does naturally muffle them a little.Transparency mode is my least used mode. It kinda sounds like everything outside is playing through a phone speaker. White noise turns to static, voices still sound a little muffled.The side controls are nice and intuitive, but I’m not the biggest fan of the robot voice that announces when the power is on or the mode is switched.Call quality is really good. Comparable to my AirPods.I also really like that I can connect to two devices at once. Switching is seamless – just pause audio on one and play it on another. And it stays connected until you turn the headphones off. Battery life is so good I haven’t measured it.Other headphones I tried:Sound core Q30 and Q45: comfy but I wasn’t a fan of the sound quality, the ANC is a little better at blocking voices, transparency mode is a lot better, call quality is horrible. These were the first ones I triedBose Quiet Comfort 2023: Hurt my temples, ANC was a little better than soundcore, bad call qualityBeats Studio Pro: Uncomfy and bad call qualitySony WHCH720N: Hurt after a few hours. Nice audio. Can connect to multiple devices, but the connection times out for the device it isn’t playing on without notification. So switching isn’t as seamless.

The noise cancelling does a nice job with steady background noise and makes a big difference on public transport or in a busy office. It is not the most powerful ANC I have ever tried, but it is more than good enough for music and work calls.Sound quality is clear with decent bass and balanced mids and highs. They are comfortable on my head and over my ears, even during longer meetings or movies. I really like the long battery life – I can easily get through several days of use without recharging.The only minor downsides are that the sound profile may not satisfy serious audiophiles who want a very specific tuning, and the materials feel more like a mid range product than a premium one.Overall, for the price point, these headphones deliver strong value with good ANC, long playtime, and reliable Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. I would recommend them to anyone who needs dependable headphones for work, travel, or daily listening.

The ear cushions are super soft and comfortable, even after wearing them for hours.The sound quality really surprised me. Horrible. Persistent low throbbing hum in left ear, making these nauseating to wear for even moderate periods. Headache inducing. Reading the glowing reviews I thought these would be a good, economical replacement for my damaged Sennheiser 450BT headphones (which were unavailable to purchase again at the time), but these are not remotely in the same class. Also, these headphones love to announce “connected” and “disconnected” as I walk through the house and past various devices – despite me not wanting to connect with those devices; infuriating distractions. Battery doesn’t last nearly as long as Sennheiser or even the inexpensive WorkTunes BT headphones I use when mowing lawns, etc. Definitely a false economy and a “buy cheaper, buy twice” situation – I’ve wasted time and money and I’ll have to repurchase Sennheiser or similar again now anyway. Not recommended.
