A Total Blackout
This does shield you from the light, so if you are one to avoid the sun, this is a go-to tool. It also helps keep you cool, as the sun’s rays do not warm you. Great for days when you want to be outside without burning up. GREAT FOR VAMPIRES or the extremely pale-skinned!

Sturdy Travel Umbrella with Great Sun Protection
I bought this for a summer trip to Korea and it’s been a reliable travel companion. It’s a little heavier than I expected, but the trade-off is that it feels very sturdy and doesn’t bend or flip in the wind the way cheaper umbrellas do. The UPF 50+ rating gives extra peace of mind on sunny days, and it definitely helps keep me cooler when walking around. Great umbrella!
This umbrella is a lifesaver! I used it for my two weeks vacation in Europe and my bf twice got heatstroke during the vacation, while I was totally fine I think thanks to this umbrella and taking it everywhere! It doesn’t mess up your hair like a sunhat would, and although it’s a bit heavy compared to a regular umbrella, it’s not heavy to the point of discomfort or anything. Wish it was more normalized to walk around with this thing 24/7 🙂

Functional but with some minor problems
This umbrella was very helpful while I was in the Philippines. It gave great protection from the sun during the hottest parts of the day and stayed open during stronger winds. The reason I will only be giving this product 4 stars is due to the fact that it can be difficult to close, requiring that you push hard on the top of the umbrella to activate the mechanism that holds it in place when it is wrapped up. Lastly, the silver color on the top of umbrella seems to have rubbed off on parts of it due to my heavy use. Its more evident on the cover for the umbrella that you use when you stow it away so be sure to use it when you are not actively using the umbrella.

It Works
I used this at a recent Dream Cruise, there was no shade, and it was hot, it even rained. My umbrella protected me from the sun and rain 100%. I love it and I I’ll order another for backup. My sister also purchased one.

What a great find!
I just received my umbrella and put it to test by holding it up against a large window where the sun was directly glaring into it. I opened it up and placed the umbrella fabric a few inches away from the glass. I was pleasantly surprised to see that no sun came through the fabric. I then held it up to the window where half the umbrella was in direct sunlight and the other half protected by the adjoining wall. There was absolutely no difference. I couldn’t see any light coming through on either half.The instructions are on the hang tag attached to the handle. I like that the umbrella closes up by pushing the button in the same way one presses it to open it up. The only difference is that you have to the push the stem down towards the handle to latch it closed. It was easy enough to do and better than the complete manual process of less quality ones I have owned in the past. Once it latched, I gently pulled out the folds and was able to return it to the same neat way it arrived with the attached velcro strap.The sleeve is nice in that the closed umbrella slides easily into it and fits nicely. No skimping on the fabric and struggling to get it back in like another one I used own. The only improvement I would make might be a snap to keep the sleeve in place, but that isn’t a deal breaker by any means. Highly recommend.All in all, this is a product I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to protect themselves from the sun during this record breaking summer heat. I will be buying another one of the same in different colors to share with family.

Will NOT block the sun!
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEMYou would expect a UV resistant umbrella to actually STOP the sun from punching through the material but no, this umbrella barely stops the sun from getting through and hitting you.What’s this mean for you? It means you’re gonna get hotter underneath and damage your skin when you thought you otherwise might have protection.And I personally own umbrellas that are perfectly capable of blocking out most if not all of the sun, and they are MUCH cooler underneath.DO NOT BOTHER with this umbrella. Do better research and find something else.

Does exactly what it should
This was a life saver for our most recent trip to Europe where temperatures got as high as 117F. While it didn’t stop me from feeling incredibly hot and sticky it did protect my skin from getting burnt, while being relatively light weight and easy to use. It still looks good as new, and will be a staple for me while outside this summer

I have recently purchased this umbrella to block the sun on my way to work. I can see the following:9/10 for sun blocking as advertised.6/10 for windy weather. It was not very sturdy against wind.9/10 opening/closing mechanism. I had no problems regarding that.10/10 in size as it was very suitable to me.I have given it 9 as I did not try it in 40+ degrees sun yet. I suggest you use it during the summer or at the beach.
