Timex Standard High Quality….but, Oh well.
The Quality was exactly the standard that timex set for the most affordable, most durable, most useful, most attractive watches in the industry. I’ve owned this one since 2022.I have to say it’s all of the above WITH ONE EXCEPTION: The Indiglo never worked from the moment I took it out of the box. I didn’t think anything of it. I thought it was another diluted standard brought on by the corporate enshitification so pominent in the world today. I WAS WRONG!For under 35$, who cares? It’s 2025 and I’m buying another one. I put this thing through hell.I work on Industrial Refrigeration and Mechanical Infrastructure. I’m rough on everything I own and my hands and arms are exposed to 130 degree F Condesner relief temps regularly, 170 degree F Asphalt Equipment Pads (on which I stand for hours in the direct sunlight) in 115 degree F Ambient air temps all while keeping track of timing of sequences of operations, using My Timex as my number-one tool for keeping track of that kinda stuff. Diagnosis would not happen without it.Accuracy: Hmm. a little behind the iphone weekly or monthly; loses about 5 minutes a month? maybe less. Either way, when I was trying to set it to the current time the other day, I pulled the crown right out of the watch to try and set the time. I put it back in and committed to purchasing another one. The crown is still in there, the watch still is keeping time (more slowly) and I just can’t update the time it has lost. So in a month or so from now, it will be too far behind the actual time to be useful for me.Very well worth the cost!

    A Good Functioning Cheap Watch
I’ve worn this watch for 5 days now and I like it. I use it as an everyday work watch and I haven’t had any problems with it. It has a functioning date indicator on it and has a toggle glow in the dark function. The numbers are very readable and I don’t have to squint to read the time. It fits perfectly fine and you can adjust it to the size of your wrist. It’s 40mm in diameter so it’s a decent size. I like the size for what it is because I don’t like anything below 40mm. The watch is a little thick which is good because it can take some scrapes and scuffs here and there and still work fine. Lastly, I don’t know why so many people are complaining about the noise level of the ticking. It’s almost unnoticeable unless you really put your ear to it to hear it. Unless you’re audibly looking for it (or place it by your ears) you’re not going to really hear it in my opinion.Overall I think it’s a great watch for the price and for what I was looking for. It’s not something to be fancy or stylish; just functional and simple. It’s a cheap watch that doesn’t necessarily feel too cheap to wear. Thankfully it hasn’t broken on me or stopped working randomly on me or anything like that and even after I’ve set it I barely have to go back and adjust the time. It will sometimes get off by a few seconds after some days but that’s not an issue for me and is an easy fix.

    Loud but affordable
Very simple and elegant watch. Does its job and nothing more. I’ve used it for dress and for work, law enforcement, with no issue. The only reasons its not getting 5 stars: the strap is mediocre at best and it is VERY loud. The strap has two bands that contain the excess and they seem to barely be able to do their job. The last one wore out very quickly and barely holds onto the strap now after 6 months. As for the noise, I can hear the watch ticking from across the room. Sleeping with it on is very sub optimal. Overall, for the price it is an excellent watch and you are getting what you pay for.

A fantastic field watch at a compelling price
This is a great field watch! This is my first time owning a Timex, and I have to say I’m impressed. I’ve owned a handful of Casio watches, a Seiko, and an Orient, and I wanted to give Timex a try. I’ve owned watches that cost more than 5 times the roughly $30 I paid for this one, and while this is definitely not in the same league as a Seiko or an Orient, I am very pleased with it. I’ve been wanting a field watch for awhile now to have as a more casual analog option, and this fits the bill perfectly. It’s water resistant to 50 meters, it came with a comfortable NATO strap, and it has luminous hands as well as Timex’s Indiglo feature, which is Timex’s backlight technology that illuminates the full dial. So if you need to check the time in the dark, simply press the crown and the full dial will light up, which adds to practicality. This Timex expedition has a metal case, and I’d recommend it over the other expeditions that have a resin case, as the resin case expeditions have a notoriously loud tick and this one is a good bit quieter. The build quality is also noticeably better than the resin case models. I plan to use this as my daily driver/beater watch at work because it’s simple and good looking, and is cheap enough that if it gets damaged it’s not a big deal. Time accuracy is great as well, considering it’s a quartz watch.Overall, if you’re in the market for a field watch that is practical, affordable, and good looking, this is the watch for you.

Decent Daily Wear Watch For The Price
Decent watch for the price. The Timex Expedition line is fairly comfortable, the dial is very easy to read. The Indiglo backlight is very bright and helps in low light situations. I’ve been wearing this watch on and off for a while seems to keep decent time. The beige dial has a good vintage vibe to it as well. The mechanism is a little loud when ticking, im guessing it’s due to the brass case? But all in all a decent daily watch that does the job.

I absolutely love this watch! For me, it is slightly on the larger size, although not a large watch. I love the style, and face, the strap, and the mat gun-metal. If you could only buy one watch, get this! I’ve worn it camping, to important events, and no watch makes me feel more ready for the day than this watch. Though it’s not the most formal watch, I think it can be a very good daily (as it’s my daily). It was the first nice watch I’ve purchased, and I feel that it was money very well spent! My perfect watch would be this one, if it has a day-date, rather than just the date. I use 24hr time, so having it on the face is premium. Over all, this watch punches way above it’s weight in terms of quality, style, and function. I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a solid daily watch. P.S. This is a real review written by a very happy customer lol!
