Drip Coffeemakers
Note: 1)Too coarse a grind, too little coffee, or insufficiently tamping the grounds before brewing can all lead to inadequate pressure for a proper brew. 2)It is important to note that the amount of espresso extracted will vary depending on the grind size and amount and reprogramming may be needed when the size and amount are adjusted

    A premium 1-cup coffee maker
I just bought a second one of these for my office after buying the first one about 7 years ago from Costco. It makes a perfectly hot cup of coffee in three minutes. I get up an hour or two before my wife, so it doesn’t make sense to make a pot of coffee. Neither of us enjoy coffee that’s been slow-cooking in a pot on a burner for an hour. We make three or four cups per day, at different times of the day, and have done so nearly every day for 7 years. The machine still works like new.Another reason I prefer this to a full size coffee pot is it’s easier to clean. I use paper filters in the basket (size 4 cone filters), so literally the only thing that needs to be cleaned is the filter basket. I just rinse it in hot water between uses, and maybe once a week wash it with hot soapy water.I have used one-cup coffee makers by other companies and they all work okay to good, and cost about half as much as this Capresso machine. But they feel cheaper, not as well-made, and every single one of them has died after about 1-2 years. Capresso/Jura is a premium brand with reputable coffee makers and espresso machines. I don’t mind paying $40 instead of $20 for a premium coffee maker that works reliably perfectly and will last way more than twice as long as the cheap ones.

    One cup
2 scoops per cup add cream and sugar if needed. By the time you get out of the shower, all you need to do is give it a stir and down it goes or just take it with you. Always a good cup so far.

Very happy. Great coffee that is user-friendly to make. Bye-bye Keurig!
I spent hours researching alternatives to the Keurig when ours died, including large drip machines, French presses, manual methods, and personal coffee makers. Based on the reviews and ease of use I bought the Capresso On The Go. The Capresso is a great alternative to the Keurig. We have had many Keurig machines over the last several years and have never been able to get a good cup of coffee. Also, they always break within a year or two.The Capresso makes a great cup of coffee. You can adjust the strength to your personal preference and, if you use a coffee grinder, you can also adjust the coarseness of the grind. At first we thought the coffee tasted odd, until we realized that we were used to creamer flavored bitter water from the Keurig. I had been using the cheapest coffee I could find in the Keurig because even expensive coffees made no difference. When I realized that the coffee made in the Capresso actually tasted like coffee, I bought a grinder and good coffee beans. What a difference! We are looking forward to trying all different kinds of coffee.Even though we are happy with the Capresso, there are a couple of things to be aware of. The water does not fully drain when making a cup of coffee, so if you use the mug to refill the reservoir it will overflow out of the back of the machine and make a mess. We use a measuring cup to put in 11 ounces of water rather than using our coffee mug. Also, as other reviewers have stated, the coffee continues to drip for a minute after it is done brewing. In order to avoid a mess, we either leave our cup for an extra minute or we put an empty cup in its place to catch the drippings. My biggest complaint is the price. The machine is very simple and light weight, made mostly of plastic. In my opinion, the quality does not justify the price. Also, I just saw the same machine at Costco for $15, which is less than half the cost that I paid on Amazon. It would be nice if the quality was better. It would also be great if there was a way to see how much water was in the machine from the outside rather than trying to look inside. Other than these couple of things, we are very happy with the Capresso.

way to go for one cup at a time
My wife and I had to cut back on coffee consumption and stopped making a whole pot in the morning. Also, I need to drink half caffeinated and she usually takes full strength. We decided a one cup maker would be the way to go. We didn’t like the wastefulness and expense of pods. We gave this a try because we’d used a Capresso maker for many years and were happy with it. This is a very basic machine. You put the grounds into the reusable basket, pour in the water, put your cup on the stand (don’t forget this part!) and push the button. No brew settings, no beeping to let you know the coffee is ready, no hot surface to try to keep the cup warm. There is also no valve under the filter to keep it from dripping when you remove the cup. We’ve just gotten in the habit of emptying the grounds before we take the cup out from under the machine most of the time. Oh, as others have mentioned, the travel cup that comes with this is REALLY terrible! Capresso should do better. So it’s got it’s flaws but…we really like the way the coffee comes out. The temperature is right and it brews at the proper speed to let the flavor come though and it’s easy to use.

Junk! This last one lasted 4 months! Save your $$$!
This is the third one of these. First one lasted 5 years. Second one lasted 11 months. The last one was purchased in May 2025 – and has now failed – 4 months later. JUNK! Stay away!

UPDATE to “Needs To Cool Down After Each Brew.”
UPDATE—After two years of satisfactory use this coffee maker began to fail to brew an entire cup, leaving some water in the reservoir. Other reviewers have also mentioned this problem. I tried the vinegar cleaning process several times to no avail. I was forced to move on to another brand.Revising my previous 3 stars to 5 stars. This coffee maker has performed flawlessly for me for over a year now, so it deserves more stars.I’m just a one cuppa day kinda guy, so I can’t see paying big bucks for other coffee makers that do everything except bake bread when this little guy does the job.The oddity about this coffee maker is that once you have brewed a cup, it shuts off and will not turn on again until it has cooled down. I have seen other reviews from those who thought it died after the first use. So did I, but after it cooled down I tried it again and it came back to life. The instruction manual that comes with it says nothing about this cool down scenario. It is compact and lightweight, great for limited counter space.

I use the product to make my morning 16 oz coffee. ☕️ I love the fact that it makes a large 16 oz mug of coffee. Many products only make small liquid sizes. The only thing that could be improved is the temperature of coffee, could be a little hotter. Nice product…🥰
