Easy to use, great tasting coffee!
This Espresso maker makes either a shot or shot and a half of the most delicious hot espresso. Thick and creamy. Photo is the shot and a half with a splash of cream.Would make amazing lattes!Nice cream head on espresso.Could add hot water for an americano. Much better tasting than the aeropress — which is what I have been using.But definitely not a big cup of coffee.I feel so Italian.

Doesn’t Work! Tried Two, Same Disappointment for BOTH!
Junk! Returned two, same incapable brew for each! First one leaked from the charging port and ruined the charging cable! Then, it just stopped working all together. The second one never brewed a full cup. It was as if the pressure couldn’t push the water through completely. Finally bought a different brand with detachable battery and it works great!!

I could not get the device to give more than 2ml of liquid at a time (see pic). I attempted to activate the device 3x. Extremely frustrating. The taste and strength was less than desirable. ( very week)

A Fascinating Espresso Gadget That Actually Works! Larger Than Expected, But Makes Great Coffee
I’m not a coffee snob by any means, but I am a creature of habit. I’ve been making fresh ground whole bean Bustelo every day for probably 10 years on my Breville Barista Express machine.Those machines are fabulous, but obviously are way too expensive to have a “backup” at the office. So, I’ve started enjoying Nespresso pods at the office as a way to conveniently get a small cup of decent espresso when I’m away from my nice setup at home.When I travel, however, I’m pretty much out of luck, especially if we’re camping or at a hotel.Not anymore!This little gadget seems to be the logical evolution of the “Mini-Presso” device that came out several years ago. That machine was the first of its kind, but it had some real drawbacks to it. First of all, you had to provide your own brew-ready hot water. If you’re really roughing it, you’ll have to boil water and then try to get it into the tiny opening to make a single shot. It also only used ground espresso (originally), eventually offering an adapter later.That’s what makes this device so amazing. They’ve taken design cues from the original design of the Mini-Presso, but have made it possible to truly brew your own espresso on the go. Everything from heating the water to building the pressure, to dispensing is all handled within the battery operated machine.And I can honestly say, it actually works!The coffee is properly, but drinkably hot and the pressure produces a very nice, consistent cream on top.Best of all, you don’t have to heat your water before adding it.Because the machine does all this work on its own with the help of some very powerful batteries, it is a bit bigger than I was expecting, but given the fact that it builds up over 9 bars of pressure internally, I’m happy that they’ve beefed up the design a bit.Overall, if you want Nespresso machine quality espresso when you’re truly “on the go” or “off the grid”, this is a marvelous innovation that takes the best parts of the designs that preceeded it and improves on everything that was missing.It’s fantastic!

This portable espresso maker arrives with almost everything needed to make delicious espresso on the go. All you need is the ground coffee or Nespresso pod and water. The espresso maker arrived almost fully charged, but I went ahead and fully charged it before the first use. I also washed the appropriate pieces and wiped the ones I couldn’t wash. Once it was charged and ready I ran some water through a few times to clean out the inside. Then I used the heating option with no coffee just to try it out. It gets piping hot in about 4 minutes. You’ll see the lights on the front light up as it heats. When it is fully heated the process begins automatically and you see the liquid come out of the bottom. Operation is quite simple with only one button. After filling the top with water you will either need to heat the water or use already heated water. To use the heating option you will long press. To use already hot water you do a double quick press. The kit comes with everything, as I mentioned. Even a tiny coffee scoop and teeny tiny tamper. As well as a brush, a bag, the charging cable plus brick and instructions.For my first time trying this with actual ground coffee I went with around 9 grams of freshly ground coffee, which turned out to be slightly too much. It fit, but just barely. And I believe I may have ground too fine as my end result was bitter and over extracted. I will have to dial it in, just as I did when my regular espresso maker was new. If you plan to use a Nespresso pod you won’t have to worry with any of that. I chose to add already heated water to the basin this time. But, as mentioned, I had already tested the heating option. As far as how this portable espresso maker works, though, it is fantastic. I recommend it.
