Like most people, we have a ton of wires and electronic devices throughout our house that needs to be plugged in and the average two wall outlets is never enough to fulfill our growing needs, especially in the smart home era. We normally purchase the Amazon Basics power strips, but found these GE ones for slightly cheaper and decided to pick them up. They came fully functioning and in packs of two. The power strips do not provide any special functions like emergency shut offs or power saving features, but what most important in all power strips is that it is grounded in case of electrical discharge.Our rating scaleDesign: 5/5Utility: 5/5Effectiveness: 5/5Noticeable flaws: We can’t find any noticeable flaws other than the fact that this strip is not a surge protector nor the light switch lights up when it turns on like other strips (which can make it difficult to figure out whether the strip is on or not unless you turn it on). Other than that, this strip does what it was built for.Our answers to the frequently asked questions:How many Joules is this?This power strip is not a surge protector and does not provide a maximum voltage to protect your electronics. We recommend plugging small items and nothing too large like an AC unit, refrigerator, or even a desktop for an extended amount of time.Do these have 2 or 3 prongs?They all come in three prongs.Is the on/off switch lighted?No, the on and off switch comes in a dark red color and does not light like other switches which can be difficult to tell if the power strip is on or not.Overall, a great buy if you can get them up on sale. Works as intended
These power strips work as intended. The cord length is relatively short. The build quality is alright (feels like cheap plastic), but is certainly good for the price. I don’t like how the outlets on the strip are all facing parallel with the length of the strip. This means that if you plug in an MacBook charger or any power adapter that has a bigger footprint, the charger will cover up 2-3 outlets not he strip. As a result, you’ll only be able to use about 2 outlets on the strip if you plug in a MacBook charger.You also have to flip a switch on the strip to turn the power strip on, which is pretty standard on the other power strips I have. However, this one does not come with an “on/off” light, meaning you won’t know whether your power strip is turned on or off unless you toggle the switch or test it with something. Not a big deal for me, but just something to note.

No tiene nada de funcion de proteccion, Tal y como lo dice el paquete.Pero la publicacion dice que si lo tiene. Me pregunto si GE sabe que su logo se usa de esta manera, aver si responden en twitter x.
