3. Bluetooth performance and connectivity can vary based on the environment in which it is being used. For best performance make sure that there is minimal interference (doors, walls, etc) between this speaker and the device transmitting Bluetooth
4. On the back of the speaker there is a USB-A connection that customers can connect their device to in order to use the CHARGE4 as battery. This would be the charging port

Perfect little shop speaker to lug around with me!
(UPDATE) SO AFTER 2 WEEKS! IM EVEN MORE HAPPY WITH THIS SPEAKER! I think I’ve only charged this thing 2 times in the 2 weeks I’ve had it and I didn’t even need to! I use it for about 8 hours a day also! I’m watching or rather listening to shows on my tablet while I work! So music may drain the battery faster but I’ve only had it get down to above half battery life! I also use it at home sometimes at night I’ll fall asleep with it connected to my projector and thr battery is amazing! I throw it in my drone back with a bunch of other cameras and stuff never looks dirty or scratched o haven’t dropped it yet and I hope I don’t but it feels like it can handle a few good wasit level drops on solid ground before anything would happen! I hope the charge 5 and this one pair in party mode when I get that one!I needed a portable speaker in the shop sometimes I have to go outside and work and sometimes I just don’t like the full system I have banging around tbis is perfect super clear sound sometimes I even hook my TV to and and set it next to the couch so I don’t bother anyone else amd I can hear what people are saying because the crisp sound! I’m a very huge bass head but I like the fact that this doesn’t sound muddy and over saturated with low end!(After a Week) I’m still loving this thing! The battery life is amazing! I ran my tablet at work on it for 2 days and charger the tablet from it the whole time and it only dropped one little dot / bar of battery in 2 days I wasn’t running it super loud and a lot of what I was listening to was just talking but I listen to shows while I work so the screen was running on my tablet the whole time as well! I like it i haven’t dropped it or gotten it wet yet but seem very sturdy! It hasn’t gotten scratches or beat up in my work bag at all either! I plan on buying the charge 5 now hopefully I can get them to link together in party mode somehow!

Better Than I Expected, and Now I Use It More Than My Wife
I originally bought this on June 22 for my wife, but ever since it showed up, I’ve been using it more than she has. I’ve been working on a big cabinet project out in the garage, and this speaker has basically been my background soundtrack the whole time.The sound quality is seriously impressive — it’s clear, loud, and the bass has a surprising amount of punch for something this size. I listen to everything from rap to classical depending on the day, and the speaker handles it all without any distortion or muddiness. It’s also been great having my ears open while working. I used to use earbuds, but I like that I can still hear what’s going on around me while enjoying music.Bluetooth pairing is fast and reliable. I’ve switched between multiple devices without any issues, and the lag between pressing buttons and getting a response is minimal. Nothing that bothers me at all.Overall, I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good-quality wireless speaker that’s durable enough to handle workshop or garage life but sounds great for casual listening too.

Got this speaker for my boyfriend‘s birthday last year. He really loved it. He had the model before this one the smaller version when he pulled out this one he was so excited seeing how large it was yet still portable. The sound on it is great. The volume feels like a club atmosphere sound is very crisp and the beat is really nice.

Bass HEAVY
Great little speaker, I gave it four stars though instead of five… just for one reason. This speaker is extremely bass heavy at low volumes. I thought that I could lower the bass response with the app, that there would be tone controls, but, no, there aren’t any. So What you get is what you get. Speaker stays charged for a long time with heavy use and is pretty quick to recharge. I listen to Rock and Metal and a lot of podcasts. Overall Speaker is very solid and worth the money, with today’s technology all apps should come with some type of equalizer (tone controls) that’s my only gripe.

Supero mi expectativas, la verdad miré muchos modelos para decidirme por este en especifico, pero no me arrepiento para nada, es una excelente bocina bluetooth, tiene una excelente duración de batería, además de que tiene un muy buen tamaño, ya que en algunos revisados comentaban que era grande y no la podías sujetar con una mano, pero para nada, para mi tiene un tamaño excelente para poder transportarla y escuchar música en todos lados, en lo que si coincido es en el peso, ya que si es algo pesada pero tiene justificación, con esa batería que se carga, y por ultimo y mas importante, su sonido, diablos que sonido tiene esta bocina, tiene unos bajos profundos que te erizan la piel, tengo una Bose SoundLink Revolve+ II y ni de chiste tiene la calidad de bajos que tiene esta bocina, en general el sonido de la bose es mas nítido, pero si te gusta que se distingan los bajos como a mi, sin duda esta es tu opción, y el color es muy bonito.

The JBL Charge 4 is, in my opinion, the best of its class for size, battery life, sound quality, and build. It’s not too big at all; perfect size can easily carry it in your hand or a backpack without any problems. The advertised battery life of 20 hours is valid and lasts me a week or more depending on use and volume; it also charges up pretty fast and can be used as a power bank to charge other devices. The sound quality is astonishing. It provides plenty of base, clarity in mids and highs, as well as a lot of volumes, e.g., can fill my house will sound without breaking a sweat. In my opinion, it far surpasses the likes of its competitors like the UE Boom 3, JBL Flip 5, Sony XB32, etc… The build quality and aesthetics are also gorgeous. The mesh material on the outside provides a premium look and feel while protecting the speaker as well, given its IPX7 waterproof rating. If you are looking for a portable, premium sounding, Bluetooth speaker, I would highly recommend purchasing this. The only reason I would consider something like the UE Boom 3 or JBL Flip 5 is if you really really need it to be portable. Because the JBL Charge 4 is quite portable and provides much better sound quality and battery life, which makes it worth the extra money.
