Ergonomically designed, lightweight headlamp that is comfortable to wear
These were a very good find amid a sea of other choices. The LED lights on the front of the headlamp are powerful and there is also an extra side light, though it’s only on the left side. I like the addition of the bright, retroreflective yellow strip on the side of the stretchy headband, though again, for some unknown reason, this feature is only on the left side. What set these apart from a different pair (from a different company) that I had ordered on Amazon almost a year ago, is the ergonomic comfort of the headband and light weight of the LED panel, and thus the practical wear-ability if you’re working on something in a dark area for any length of time. The elastic headband has almost a velvety feel to it, as opposed to a scratchy nylon, and yet it stays firmly in place as long as you adjust the headband properly. The left side of the headband, where the retroreflective strip is located, is embedded into a silicone band, which has a comfortable “waffled” backing, presumably to prevent sweating and slippage. The LED panel on the front sits comfortably on my forehead without slipping down because it’s lightweight, and I suppose the silicone cover helps to keep its grip in place too. That simple, almost too-obvious benefit is not to be underestimated. I say this because the LED panel on other, older pair I’d bought last year was so heavy it kept slipping down my forehead, even when I tightened the headband as much as I could without causing a headache. And needless to say, it was uncomfortable and annoying to keep tightening the headband on that other pair.So overall I appreciate the thought that went into designing and building these in an ergonomic and practical way. They are priced in the same ballpark as others – not a bargain, but not overpriced either, given their quality. They come with a short C-type charging cable, to recharge the battery when needed. I haven’t worn them long enough to know how long one charge lasts, but I have a feeling that the wear time will be very good, given how well-designed these are overall. So I can recommend them.

These things are awesome! Buy one today.
I live in an elevated home (flood plain). I frequently have to walk up and down outdoor stairs at night (particularly when entertaining). There is nothing. NOTHING that helps you see potential tripping hazards while allowing you to use both hands like this product. Absolute pure, even, white light, everywhere you need to see it.It’s also incredibly handy in the garage, when I often need two hands for mechanical work (or just picking up crap from my stupidly-cluttered garage). Can’t recommend it highly enough. Bought them for wife and son, too.Yes, if you’re going to be at it for a while, you need to turn down the intensity so that the rechargeable battery lasts, but that’s doable, and my package had two lights, so one’s always charging when I’m using the other one, so…problem solved?

Awsome headlamp…but poor USB-C plug socket
I’ve been using one of these units for a few years now and they’re very comfortable and put out great light. Unfortunately, when I recently needed my unit to work in my dark attic, it was dead…no sign of life. I tried plugging it in to my usual type-C USB changer I use for my phone…still no sign of life. So I ordered two new ones from Amazon. With excellent 1-day service I got the new ones and decided to charge them up before heading to the attic. I plugged them into my standard phone charger…but still no sign of the charging light coming on. Because my standard charger plug has a fairly long nose, I looked to see if it was being prevented from fully seating into the headlamp’s plug. Yup…the headband has a narrow pocket around the plug opening that was preventing my plug from fully seating. I tried grinding off my plug exterior a bit…but that didn’t work, and looked thru my extensive collection of type-C plugs to see if I could find one that works…none did! Then I noticed that the Headlamp package included two short USB-C plugs, one for each lamp…and they had exceptionally long plug noses. I spliced them into my charging circuit and sure-enough the lamp was now charging.Next, I wondered if my old unit was really dead, or just failed to charge with my usual USB-C plug. Answer: unit was fine, just needed the Headlamp-supplied plug with the longer noise.Bottom line….Great headlamp…but very poor engineering of plug socket. Can’t be charged unless you happen to save and have with you the long-nose USB-C plug.

VERY useful and comfortable.
Best headlight ever! I walk my dog in the dark and his harness and leash lights up from this! We feel secure! I can see my path and note any bumps or slippery areas. Every old person should have one of these, especially people with cataracts!

Bright and light for dusk and dawn.
These are super bright, lightweight, comfortable, and long lasting. We use them to walk the dog in the early morning and evening. We charge them Fridays and have never had them run low with weekly charging. These are such a great upgrade from the old headlamps. Love them.

The variable light options include strobe, different levels of brightness, general led array, a singular torch, and a motion sensor on/off too! This is a great tool and a good gift for your dad or anyone who needs a bit of light.Just be aware that the charging indicator isn’t always accurate.

Running a shop here we thought we would give this a try. After doing a full charge, our techs tried these new Headlamp (W689-3) and they were disappointed for the little light it offered. The other complaint was within a minute the band gets really warm on the forehead making this product even more less desirable. To bad we had high expectations for this.It may be great for hobbyist and little jobs but not something you want to wear for long.
