Water skier. Did exactly what I wanted it to do – be skin tight (not run up) and prevent my back/shoulders/arms from getting sunburn.It is a very snug fit. It’s supposed to be. If you don’t want that, either order up sizes or order a different product.

This review is to call attention to the sizing of the rash guard. I recommend ordering a size up. I wear a size large (42/44 jacket) for just about everything. The large size of this one fit me like a sausage casing. I returned it and got an XL, which fits like a large should have.Other than that it’s great. Flat seams, flexible, not too over-the-top graphics, “UPF ultraviolet protection” (that might just be marketing hype since any fabric between you and the sun will provide protection), good sleeve and body lengths, and comfortable when you get the correct size. Dries quickly. I especially like the “dusty blue” color; haven’t seen it in any other brand.

Great product for an athletic build but order one or two sizes up!
This is a well-made, high-quality rash guard with a “performance“ fit that is meant to fit skin-tight. It fits VERY small: too small. My son has an athletic physique with washboard abs and a tiny waist; he usually wears a small or medium but needed a large in this rash guard. Having figured that out (after returning first a small and then a medium), the fit, feel and look are perfect and my son is delighted.

Don’t bother with “swim shirts”
I’ve been looking for a couple years for an ideal “swim shirt”. I’ve bought a few that were marketed specifically as men’s swim shirts; designed to be worn in our out of the water to protect from the sun. These typically are baggy T-shirts made of fitness apparel material and flop and wave while in the water and then get really heavy and uncomfortably snug when out of the water (like wearing a weighted shirt). This shirt however wears like a wet suit; tight like a second skin which doesn’t twist and shift when getting in and out of the water. Comfortable to swim in and doesn’t get in the way, and dries nicely when out of the water. I thought black might be a mistake because it would bake in the sun, but when wet, the evaporation has a nice cooling effect. Excellent sun protection too, I’ve spent hours in the hot July sun without a burn to show for it. My one knock on the shirt is that the sleeves aren’t very stretchy- I am by no means a muscular man but the sleeves get uncomfortably tight after a while. I wear a size L T-shirt and ordered this in L as well and it’s the perfect fit. It’s SUPPOSED to be tight, beer belly or not!

…the XLARGE is equivalent to MEDIUM. Frustrating, and waste of time, money and effort. I normally wear a LARGE, but going from this XL Fit, i wud have to order XXXL….something is very wrong, unless the product size label is mismatched.
