Not a Lot of Hot Water/Coffee Output For The Effort and Price
I really wanted to love this item, because I need it. My power goes out a lot, and one thing I really hate is not being able to make coffee or other hot water drinks. Yes, this works (it took me a while to figure out how), but the amount of water it heats is SO tiny, especially considering the size of the unit (it’s not huge, but it’s got lots of parts and is about the size of a hand mixer). I almost thought I was doing something wrong, and there was some reservoir I was missing but that wasn’t the case. The entire unit is heavy and sturdy, and you’d think it would make at least one cup of water by its size. But it only heats the size of maybe a tiny espresso shot. And that takes about 5 minutes for that, so if you are making more than one, it seems a lot of effort for such a small output. If this were priced lower, and all you needed to heat was a tiny bit of water, it would be great. But it seems like a heavy lift for such a small output effort-wise and price-wise. I suggest a redesign because if it accommodated even one full-sized cup of coffee, all of this would be solved. If that were the case, I’d buy them for home, car, camping, etc. But it takes up more space than it’s useful for. I would also suggest some better instructions. It was pretty hard to figure out how it worked.
