These poles DO NOT slip if you adjust them correctly.
I read some reviews on these poles that they slip when walking. That is because the person did not adjust them correctly. They work exactly like a quick release skewer on a bicycle wheel hub. The pole clamps have a lever on one side and a small black nub on the other side. When the small black nub is tightened clockwise, it provides tension on the pole when the lever is clamped down. There is no way these poles will slip if adjusted correctly!These poles are lightweight, very comfortable, and look well made. I got the cork grips which are good for absorbing sweat. The poles come with a storage or carrying bag with a strap. The pole clamps make them very quick to adjust and there is less chance of breakage vs a twisting lock mechanism. I was afraid to purchase carbon fiber poles because of all the rocks on the Appalachian trail and did not think they could handle the abuse, so I got the aluminum. The aluminum poles are NOT heavy, and surprisingly lightweight. Overall, I think these are high quality trekking poles at a good price.

I have to say I am impressed; I had hoped other reviewers were right…..and they were. These are high quality from top to bottom. I must also say they are a big improvement over the fully collapsible/wire editions. Much stronger and stable…..but still portable and fit in a checked bag. I have had both knees replaced and need a stick I can lean into when walking in the woods or even over level ground……these hold my weight well…..don’t slide. When fully collapsed, I am sure they would be all I need in getting back on my feet if I should fall. All the details are here too…..accessories twist on straight and tight…..carry bag is great. They are a value at this price.

Very glad I bought these. I took these with me to a hiking excursion in Yosemite over this past weekend. I hiked the Vernal Falls and man am I glad I had these.Very durable, easy to use, locking mechanism were issue to use and adjusting these to the right height was very easy. These folded down very easily and fit inside my backpack with the handles out. Functionality wise, a child could use these.These do not take up too much room at all. Very lightweight and easy to use. Will definitely take these with me again.I’m older now so hiking up the Falls was no easy task for me as I’ve been suffering knee issues these last couple of years. These poles really helped soo much and made it very easy for me to trex the Vernal Falls.Highly recommend these.

Good choice; tighten nuts before using
Love these sticks. A lot of reviews comment on them slipping. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: there’s a nut at each of the extension points that needs to be tightened down. Once that is tightened securely, the latching mechanism will hold them. Do not use without tightening .If you’re using them for heavy hiking and carrying a lot of weight on them, I would recommend checking that nut every time. If you’re like me and just using them for light, hiking and occasionally balance, these are a great lightweight walking stick with a lot of support. It saved me twice on a recent hike through uneven terrain.

Good pole for the price and it works
Good quality poles and they work well for helping with balance and taking some stress off the legs while hiking. Good workout for the arms too. The length adjusting mechanism is easy to use and reliable. These are not like XC poles and learning to use them efficiently take a second or two but they definitely help. I have only used the rubber tip so don’t have any comment on the steel tip or the sand and snow baskets. The cork handles are nice and comfortable. The stape are pretty minimal compared to some I have seen but so far they work just fine.

Great, sturdy and lightweight hiking sticks
My friends invited me to serval of their company and hiking trips last few months. Since I am a beginner hiker, I need to borrow their trekking poles. I like those outdoor experience and it may benefit my health. I decided to purchase my first set of trekking poles.This set of Fitlife trekking poles are good quality, lightweight, nice color, easily to adjust to my desirable height and the grips are comfortable. Lightweight as feather but sturdy like mitheil
Wasn’t sure on what to expect as these were my first trekking poles. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase due to its lightweight aluminum alloy based desig makes it easy to carry and it felt very sturdy and secured on my hands. It came with different attachments and adjustable height to make it easier for anyone to use it. It came with a plastic carrying bag which is helpful to keep everything handy.

Great poles.
These poles are amazing! They are light weight yet durable. The handles are made perfectly to fit in my hand. They are adjustable for your height or what height you want the pole to be at. The fold down to a short length to make it easy for you to store or perhaps put inside of a backpack when you aren’t using them. They are perfect for walking, hiking or trekking across rough terrain. This is my first pair and I am glad that I chose these! Using them during a walk helps me since I have a hip and back problem and the motion of your arms to use them adds to your exercise regimin.

These poles are excellent value for the money and come with a bag & screw-on foot attachments for snow and other soft ground. Easy to adjust in height and tightness with comfortable grips with soft adjustable wristbands providing extra support. In addition, extra grips below the main ones are suitable for the odd occasion when you might quickly wish to shorten one or both for a few steps up, or walking on a side sloping path, thus avoiding the need to stop to adjust the pole(s) overall length(s).

I bought these poles because they are similar to ones we had from Austria at another specialty store for much more, and had loved them. I wanted something similar for my wife.At significantly less money, these are *almost* as good. The entire mechanism on the expensive models is fully metal. This one has a metal cam, but the mechanism holder is nylon, which is not quite as good. But it should be good enough I hope. It feels strong and secure. The poles lock very well with just a flick of the cam lever.In some ways, this is better than the expensive ones: the cork upgrade on the handles is nice, and the nuts have good coverings so you can easily adjust them when you are out trekking without tools or struggling.The product shipped by Amazon was missing a small part (the basket). I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me the missing parts. Excellent service.
