    Time x watch
This is a fantastic watch. It closed in the dark. It keeps good time. It’s very comfortable around my wrist. It’s just the right size. It’s not overly big and not too small. The numbers are easy to read. And I love that everything works.. I’ve had several friends look at it and couldn’t believe what I paid for it.I’m so lucky to have this. This was a very good purchase from Amazon.I have always had skagon watches and I really like this modest watch thank you amazon

    My New Forever Watch
I’m far-sighted and I need to remove my glasses to see up close. With a typical digital watch checking the time was a two handed maneuver. This watch is EZ to read on the fly, with a big face and bold numbers. And lemme tell you about the backlight! Bright as heck, you could use it to flag down a jumbo jet (almost). I appreciate that it’s thin, and most of the face is used for the watch, not for some slidey compass gizmo that makes you look like Chuck Yeager or Indiana Jones. Loud ticking? BFD. It’s a watch. If it keeps you up at night you have bigger problems than a loud watch. On the nightstand it’s gonna be loud, so put it on top of something soft, you’ll be surprised at the difference. Thank me later. The thing about analog: I’m not a runner or an aviator, so I don’t need precision chronometrics. If I really need an alarm, I use my phone. I bet my phone has a stopwatch if I really need one. When I check the time, I don’t need to know that it’s 7:56:48, I just need to know that it’s almost eight. Loosey goosey.Analog vs. digital: My kids have trouble reading an analog clock, and they’re almost teenagers. If I walk into the TV room and say, “It’s time for bed, it’s ten o’clock,” they’ll say, no, it’s nine-fifty-eight!” The main thing is, Analog shows the time in a relative way, Digital in an absolute way. The idea of “a quarter past one” doesn’t exist in digital time; it’s 1:15. The hour is shown in an elapsing, progressing, way, quarters, thirds, halves, VISUALLY, like a sundial. You don’t need to know if it’s precisely noon, just that it’s lunchtime. Digital reduces time to a technical statistic, like cholesterol. Your brain has to interpret it into Time-time: “It’s 11:26, um, let’s see, thirty four minutes to lunch,” too much mental energy. A glance at an analog watch and you know it’s time to start those gastric juices a bubbling. A digital watch is useful only on New Year’s Eve and at the birth of a baby.I wear a watch 24/7, sleeping, making whoopie, showering, changing the oil in my car. I like to be able to check the time in the middle of the night. “Thank God, it’s only 3:30. Back to sleep.” My main worry is about getting a tan line in the summer. But my life is relatively worry-free. I hope yours will be, and this watch will help.Update: This watch works with the Men’s Rubbertech (TM) Silicone Rubber Watchband Stainless Steel Deployment Buckle Black 18mm available on Amazon. Outstanding product.Update June 2019–After wearing this watch nearly 24/7 for 8and a half years, including bedtime, shower time, executive time, construction work, swimming, everything except when I got an MRI, it finally showed some age. First the light dimmed out, then it started slowing down. I reckoned that a replacement battery would nearly match a new watch, if I were to go to a jeweler. BUT NO, and new battery was 4.65, and i prized off the back with a Swiss Army knife can opener blade and replaced it. Good to go. Now all I need is to polish the bezel, due to the construction work effects.

    Good value and good quality.
Inexpensive, but works elegantly.Very easy to see in daylight or dark. Back lit for dark situations. I like how it looks and have bought three, one with a Velcro safety strap, all very nice. Looks far more expensive than it is.Arrived quickly and packaged well.

    Good economy watch
I got it for my 75 yr old dad who thinks my obsession with watches is weird, but I love finding high value per dollar in ultra affordable watches too. My dad is frugal and likes that in his gifts, but low price doesn’t have to mean junk. Also, he finds digitals tacky (so all the good low-end Casios were a no go).I found this Timex, “scratch & dent” on Amazon for just shy of $20, it arrived with the box all beat up, the leather strap was not attached, and there were no spring bars. Still, the watch and strap were in brand new shape. I keep spare spring bars and it was easy to pop the strap on. Strap is on the short side, if you have larger than a 7.5″ wrist, you’ll probably need a different one (a NATO would work well on it, imo). Also, watch is old school size, 35mm, so it may seem small by today’s standards.Highly legible day or night, it’s got indiglo back light, even though that can wear on the battery if used a lot, it does look sharp in the dark, especially for this price point. Water resistant enough you don’t have to worry about getting it wet, but I wouldn’t go swimming or shower with it.Watch hit everything my dad likes, Timex has quality choices for a budget watch, and it was still fun for me to find. Timex is not a brand I normally look at, but dad loves it and seeing it in hand, I feel good about the purchase.I rate 4 stars because it is a lot of watch for $20-30 bucks. Though buyer beware with scratch & dent, if I didn’t already have spare spring bars, I would have been irritated.

Still One of the Best Watches Around
This my third one of these watches. The first one was purchased about 20 years ago and it and second one still run perfectly. (I have three because I periodically misplace one.) The latest one has the date function. I’ve changed the battery several times myself. The indiglo feature – invented by Timex, by the way – is an excellent feature, allowing you to check the time in the dark. The watches are handsome, classic and never go out of style. They look a lot like other much more expensive watches. I get frequent compliments on the ones with light brown bands. (bought separately) If you’re old enough you remember the “Takes a licking and keeps on ticking” ads on t.v. (Cue elephant stepping on watch), it’s still true. I wear them in everything I do from going out to dinner to running a chain saw in the woods, and they still look and run great. It’s handsome, sturdy, tells accurate time, you can see it (!), it glows in the dark, and that big old face is so retro cool. Perfect.

This is a really good and plane watch for someone with smaller wrists. I enjoy the day-date feature! I personally feel that the watch looks less expensive than it’s priced. It looks to me, if I didn’t know what it is, like a drug store watch. However, knowing TimeX, and having another watch by them, I know this will be a great watch that you will have for a very long time! Great simple watch for people who prefer practical and more understated daily watches. The indiglow is crazy strong too, you can use it as a dim light in the dark.

My wife was searching for a analog white watch with leather wristband. She loves it. The night light is excellent. The numbers easy to read. I found it later on on a local superstore cheaper, so you could search before buy it.
