Great vibrant flashcards with a lot of educational value
As an adult fan of learning, languages, cultures, and geography, these cards are handy and really useful. The first thing that stands out about them is their vibrant coloring on both sides, especially in their flag designs. The cards themselves aren’t very thick, but they have a nice glossy texture that should help them last for a long time if they are taken care of.The cards are surprisingly thorough and teach you the flag designs, the name of countries or territories, the capital cities of those locations, the language or languages that are spoken there, the greeting used in the primary language spoken there, the continent where that location is found, and even a small map showing the shape of that country or territory and where the capital city is located. The cards are also color coded so that you can easily see which continent they fall under.I was really impressed with how many facts fit onto these small flashcards and even made a spreadsheet to keep track of them and make it clear what I still need to learn. The facts and designs also invite further learning, such as what te different symbols on flags mean. There are a few downsides to these cards to keep in mind, even if they are minor:First, the languages listed alongside countries or territories are not complete and only list a few that are spoken there. For example, South Africa only lists Zulu as a language even though there are twelve official languages there. There are other examples that show that language is merely an extra factoid on the cards but just a starting point rather than a complete fact to rely on for each.Second, the greetings found on each card are educational but also somewhat generic. Not all of them use the script for that language (such as Israel using the Hebrew transliteration “shalom”), and the greetings are not usually tailored to that specific country (so you find a lot of countries that have the Arabic transliteration “As-salamu alaykum” or “Hola” for most Spanish-speaking countries). There are other examples of these minor limitations, but all of them only slightly diminish the educational value of these cards. To me the cards are worth the price for even the flag designs and countries as flashcards, and everything else is a bonus to provide a fuller picture of each country or territory. The enclosed map is also a much appreciated bonus so that you can visualize where every country or territory is in relation to the rest of the world. Overall, I would highly recommend this set of flashcards for the visuals alone, and the fun extra factoids that come with it!

World Map Flashcards Review
This set of 245 flash cards and world map is an excellent learning tool.It has nice quality cards that will hold up to plenty of flipping through. The printing is crisp and clear and uses various colors to separate different countries of the globe into logical groupings based on which continent they’re located on. One side of the card shows the flag of the country, and the other side provides that country’s details. The largest information is how each country says hello. Then along the bottom it gives the capital city (some have multiple), the main language spoken, and which continent it’s located on.The set also includes a folded paper world map that is color-coded to coordinate with the cards. It’s a large piece of paper, but if it gets heavy use, it won’t hold up very long. I know they made it that way so it could fold up into the card-sized box. If you think it will see lots of use, I suggest laminating it or putting it in some sort of protective cover. You can make a game out of it and do challenges with up to 6 players. But if you have a child who is just really into geography and maps, then they could quiz themselves or a parent could assist. The suggested age is for ages 5 and up. At five, you would have to modify it to maybe just quizzing on the flags. Even then, you would have to reduce the number of cards because 245 wouldn’t be realistic. I would say this is better suited for upper elementary aged kids and up. I can see a classroom using it as a teaching tool for the whole class. Will the kids love it? It depends. Some kids will avoid studying at all costs. But the child I have in mind is obsessed with maps and details on those maps. So, he will be very interested in this pack of cards. He won’t be disappointed!

Wish we got this sooner.
We love these flashcards! My kids are 6 and 7 and they love these cards. We created a memory game using the cards. We have hours of fun learning and playing. You get 245 cards, each one has a country’s flag and name, capital, continent number, and spoken language and their greetings. The size of the card is about 3.2 x 2.5 inches with a smooth and shiny coating to make it easy to wipe clean, its the same thickness of playing cards. Also included is 1 World Map and 1 instruction sheet to help you play and understand how to use the cards and map. These cards are designed to help you explore and learn the world’s countries in an easy, simple, interactive and visual way. Each card has small details of the unique identities of a nation, the information is short and brief. It gives you quick essential facts educating you on global knowledge. It’s perfect for learners of all ages. I love that the cards are small and easy to hold and without too many text. It’s straightforward and not to overwhelming. My kids love the colorful flags and finds it very interesting to learn that each flag is different. The prints are clear and bright. These cards are such a handy visual and fun tool to discover our planet’s diversity and triggering my kids curiosity for the world we live in.Another game we live to play is locating whrre the cards belong. The first player that finds it gets the point. This continent hunt can get very competitive with my kids, at the same time teaching them about geography. Designed to combine interactive education and entertainment this can be a great tool for homeschooling. It also helps building skills like memory, hand-eye coordination, reading and languages. These flashcards come in a handy sturdy cardboard box, which is very nicely illustrated so it stands out and easy to find amongst my other boxes if games.Everything folds up nicely and fits inside the box.
