Sturdy, well made stool
I love this stool. It’s not lightweight, but still weighs less than a sturdy camping chair and as an overweight, out of shape 50 year old woman I had no problems slinging the bag over my shoulder and walking to my location. The sliding lock on top is confusing and doesn’t give the haptic feedback that it’s working, but the lock is for keeping it closed when not in use. It doesnt seem to affect the safety when it’s open. The pegs fit securely into grooves and the seat has to be pulled from both ends to release them.It takes normal hand / arm strength to pull the top and bottom open into place. It won’t be easy for someone with muscle weakness. Once it’s open I give a quick look to make sure all of the pegs are in place, but so far they lock easily and securely with no issues. The cushion is thin, but much better than the bare plastic. I wish the seat were a little bigger, but that would affect the portability. As it is I was able to sit fairly comfortably for an hour.I’ll be buying more for Christmas gifts.

Safe for larger bodies
I feel ashamed writing this review because it requires me to admit to some things about myself that I am embarrassed about, but if you’re looking at this product, maybe you find yourself in the same situation I did. I am morbidly obese; I weigh 480-500lbs depending on the day. I struggle with mobility, I have special chairs in my home to accommodate my size, and I pretty much won’t go out to eat unless it’s to a place with armless chairs. I don’t fly and I don’t go to theatres because of my size.I was looking for an option for an upcoming outdoor event that I have to attend that has only picnic bench seating. I didn’t want to take a massive folding chair because it’s kind of humiliating, so I thought about looking for a smaller, less visible option.I was extremely skeptical of this product. I was skeptical of its sturdiness. I have had chairs break under my weight. I was skeptical of its seat size, as well as its height. From the images shown in reviews, it looks so short that I feel I’d basically be sitting on the ground and it would be very hard to get up from, especially with bad knees.I am thrilled to say that I received this stool yesterday and have tested it multiple times. It LOOKS and FEELS flimsy. It is shockingly lightweight. The locking feature seems wobbly and seems like it doesn’t really lock. It looks like it’s going to collapse at any moment.Still, I have sat on it with my entire weight multiple times, and it has not collapsed. I sat on it for several hours while working today. It seems sturdy. Even if the locking mechanism wobbles out of alignment, the stool itself locks when expanded, and only unlocks when you intentionally twist the base to rotate the locking pieces and collapse it. So far, I have not felt unsafe or at risk of collapsing the stool when using it. The only thing you may want to be careful about is swiveling around while seated on the stool, since twisting the base is how you collapse it.The height is also not a concern. The height of the seat is actually higher than my regular office chair and it was easy to sit down and stand up without any mobility issues. The only thing that might be a little annoying for customers of a larger size is the diameter of the seat itself. It’s big enough that you will feel supported while sitting on it, but I would imagine I will have a little soreness comparable to when you use a bike seat after a long time of not biking, so prepare for that or consider using an additional cushion if you are concerned about this. The stool is very portable; it is lightweight, collapses to only several inches thick, and comes with a little carrying bag.I am satisfied with this product and I am grateful that companies like Numanu are creating accessible products that can be used safely by people of all body sizes. If you’re searching for a seating option for similar reasons as me, you should feel safe with this stool. I will update my review if I should run into any issues, but so far, so good!

Best made collapsible stool to date!
I have purchased and owned 5 collapsible stools like this from different manufacturers ranging in price from $20 on up. All have broken or failed within a few months. While this is the most expensive one so far, it is also the most heavy duty, well made, best quality one of all. Slightly taller, larger diameter and with a padded seat, much easier to use deployment handles (I have very large hands), and a convenient locking mechanism that can be engaged once open or closed. As with most products you get what you pay for. And while this stool may be slightly higher in cost, it is definitely of much better quality. Every part is much more robust and made to last longer than the cheaper, bargain priced units available from others!

Comfy, durable but bulky
Durable,.comfortable. But it’s much more bulky and awkward to pack up and carry than the way it’s represented. It’s absolutely NOT COMPACT to transport. That’s ok, because it’s a good sturdy stool. Highly recommend

Portable Chair, very sturdy, collapsible
I am 350 pounds and this can handle me. It’s well built and easy to set up. It collapses to about 2 1/2 inches in thickness. I comes with a carrying bag for storage and the strings are long enough to put it on like a backpack.

Very sturdy collapsible stool!
Very sturdy collapsible stool! Love it! It is quite easy to collapse and expand the stool to the needed height. It looks quite safe as well. The only confusion I had was that the use of lock button. The stool locks when the handles are placed down in the expanded state. The lock key clicks only when it is completely collapsed. The stool is comfortable, looks good and the cushion is pretty good.

Very cool portable stool
I needed something easy to sit on when I go fishing or camping without dragging around a big heavy chair. Regular folding chairs take up too much space and I always end up leaving them behind. I wanted something small that could still hold me without snapping in half. That is what made me try this collapsible stool.Opening it up is not hard once you get the hang of it. The stool feels solid and actually holds my weight without wobbling which was my main concern. The cushion on top helps a little so it does not feel like sitting on a bucket. Plus it packs down small enough to toss in the car or even carry in a bag. There are a couple small things I noticed though. If you are sitting for a long time it can start to feel a bit stiff even with the cushion. Also, you have to make sure it locks right or it can slide shorter when you sit down quick. Not a huge deal but something to watch.Overall it is handy for camping, fishing, or even just sitting outside in the yard. It saves space and does what it says without being a pain to carry. I would not replace my regular chair with it all the time, but for when I need something portable, this stool comes through.

Amazing adjustable stool. I am a heavy man and this supports my weight easily. Simple to fold down and easy to carry. Has a comfy seat for on those that want something softer for their toosh. Simply pull out to desired height and pull down to release and shrink. This I will use for comicon and other events where seats are scarce or you have a relative that needs frequent rest like a pregnant wife or your mum.

Received the item was late but have now got it and it looks great

Le XXL est vraiment plus costaud que le modèle régulier. Il est plus haut, plus solide et avec une surface plus large pour s’assoire.
