Water tastes fine
A bit more resistance than I’d generally like, but that may be a function of getting the same filtration through a smaller filter than other options. Running some water with a mild flavor added through it resulted in clean taste and no reason to doubt it’s doing its job quite well.

A decent option for hikes
I see this as mostly a backup option if you get stranded somewhere and need to filter your water, rather than a main filter for a long camping trip. I don’t like that the filter just slides in, with no way to click or twist in place, so it feels like it could easily fall out, especially after some wear. It’s great that this holds a full liter, and that, unlike a life straw, you can take the water with you to drink later. It rolls up small (especially with the filter off) and has a clip to easily attach to the outside of a bag if needed. I’d toss this in if I was going for a longer day hike, just in case my water ran out and I got stuck somewhere.

Disappointing
I was pretty disappointed in this product. The biggest spa is that there is no way to really snap the filter into place. It doesn’t twist on it. Just kind of slides into the lid. This means that if you aren’t careful, it also falls off into the bag of unpurified water. The other highly disappointing thing is that the water that I drank out of it was from a untreated. Well, while camping the water from the filter tasted weird. I don’t know how to explain it, but it didn’t taste, right? I even tried the water without the filter and it tasted better that way. Because of that, I don’t really trust that it filters very well. Definitely would not be brave enough to try drinking puddle water from it

Not great for the price for what you get
I would use this in a pitch. However, it is small and you only get one bag. Definitely not worth the price. This would be good for an emergency bag or hiking bag. I would buy it again of it were cheaper. I can get a Life Straw for the same price and it would last longer and would be more durable.

Very Castile bottle!
This collapsible water filter has great quality the water flow is smooth amen easy to pour. The taste of the liquid filled inside is refreshing. The bottle is easily collapsed and is great to carry for any camping, hiking or backpacking trip. This would be great for a child to use at school and keep in their backpack. There are so many ways to use this bottle. This is great for a suitcase when traveling. Overall great versatile product and great value for the money two thumbs up!

Great for an outdoorsy soul
My boys are constantly outside and hiking around the woods. This was a perfect Christmas gift that had them pretty excited. It was immediately packed into their hiking and fishing gear to be tested out as soon as the rain lets up!

Probably Good for an Emergency
I’ll carry this with me on longer hikes as an emergency, but I wouldn’t rely on it. The filter simply squeezes into the cap so I can definitely see it coming loose at an inopportune moment.I had water testers that I tried out on this, but it turned out that the lake water I tested was already pretty clean (at least mineral-wise, they don’t test for bacteria/viruses). That being said, the filter did very slightly improve the water, so I can confirm that it does work at least for minerality.If I ever end up having to use this, it means that I’m desperate, so I’d probably still end up having to go to the hospital just to make sure nothing else is wrong.

flimsy and no science provided
This water pouch filter has some advantages, such as being able to fill with source water and filter as you need. However, the ‘slide in’ style of filter gives me no confidence that a) it will stay in place with use and b) untreated water will not leak around the friction seal. Also, there is no evidence provided that the filter actually filters microorganisms and not just particulates. I would consider bringing this along as a backup since it is fairly compact, but I would absolutely not trust it as my primary filtration option. Also, it is as pricey as scientifically-validated filters, so I’m going for the ones with the evidence over this one.
