Good Undocumented features, Sound is a bit tinny/high pitched
I wanted a product to capture audio on my review videos, arcade cabinet builds, and virtual pinball builds where I was moving around and not right next to the camera/phone that was doing the recording. I wanted a clip on mic. Wind Screen was a plus, and I wanted it to go to my computer as well as my phone.What I found out was that the receiver DOES come with a 3.5in headphone jack to go to your computer. Bonus, not mentioned in the description. Also, when I first tried to connect it to my phone, the connector was too short to use with my phone’s case on. I thought I would have to get a USB-C Female to Male cable, and I wanted to test it RIGHT NOW. So disappointed me decided to try something. I got a regular USB-C male to male cable (standard charging cable) and connected the charging port on the receiver to my phone. BAM. Worked like a charm.In testing, my disappointments actually were with the wind screens and the audio quality.The Windscreens are elastic bottomed fuzz balls that go on the top of the mic, but they do not clip on solidly, they are hard to get on, and there is no way to store them in the charging case. Completely useless in my opinion.The sound. I was not expecting a Shure quality sound, but I was hoping for something like my cell phone mic. NOPE. hollow, tinny, no rich notes to it. Not impressed. I will probably use them until I can afford to get something else, but when I can use the cell phone or web cam mics, I’ll use those as the sound is far better.UPDATE: The noise cancelling is actually pretty good. I run a 3D printer near me most of the time and it’s pretty quiet, but still makes a bit of ambient background noise. That was cancelled out pretty well on the video.

Quality sound and appearance
Very good quality! Very cute microphone and pretty pink color. Excited to see how I can use these mics. Only thing I didn’t like was how the foam coverings for the mic was smushed into the packaging. But it’s not a super negative.

The audio of the microphone is really nice. I tested it by speaking with loud machinery running in the background, but it picked up the sound of my voice clearly and muffled the extra background noise. Both pieces are super lightweight and the microphone also comes with a clip to attach to my collar when I am speaking. Very easy to set up, just plug in my phone and no bluetooth connection is required. I do wish that there was a way to slot the two pieces together or have a small bag to not lose one of the two pieces, but that is just a small suggestion. The set also comes with a charger cord (not pictured) to charge the microphone, which has a long-lasting battery and doesn’t take long to charge either.

It’s truly plug and play.I tested the audio and compared it to my iPhone’s built-in mic. This external mic clips onto your shirt collar and delivers noticeably better sound. The gain is low, so it doesn’t pick up distant background noise, which is exactly what you want. It focuses on your voice, not the surroundings.If the mic is 16 to 20 inches away from your mouth, the sound quality drops off, but that’s expected with this type of microphone. I mention this because I saw some one-star reviews complaining about the sound. In reality, it’s quite good. Definitely not professional studio quality, but very solid for this price range. It’s far better than my iPhone’s mic: less echo and clearer overall.
