Much better frame than S500 and F450
This is a great frame. It is superior to the basic S500 frame. I did not have any issues building this frame. If you have built the S500 or F450 frames. This frame should be easy to assemble.I like that it has the anti vibration mount as part of the frame. This ensures that it is perfectly centered on the frame. Also the frame has more open space for mounting things like your GPS without interference.

Great product – instruction would help IMMENSELY!
Update: connectors between legs and the bottom horizontal section upon which vehicle land is plastic and breaks quickly. Original review: The quality, fit, and finish of the parts of this product are among the best you will find. I would buy this again knowing what I know now. However, the assortment of screws is not complete and there are some that I could not identify in the parts list. Basically the screws are neither necessary nor sufficient for assemble – plan to use some of your own stash of hardware. Also plan to screw and un-screw things during assembly. If you are very meticulous and go through to check orientations of parts completely from start to finish, you might save yourself some time, but I did this and still had to make adjustments. Some instructions or a good video would have been nice. But the actual product is solid and well done – parts match, the fit and the top and bottom motor settings might allow for 8 motors if you wanted. I have not tried this, but it seems doable since you can mount to the top and bottom of the motor mounts. The legs are sturdy. More than a few hard landings have had no impact on the condition of the frame. I used a plastic frame and legs on a previous version – this is far better!! If you value your time and effort, the higher price of this frame as compared to the plastic x500 frames is well worth it.

    Very stiff frame, amazing support
The frame is very rigid when properly built, it fits a 30×30 FC+ESC stack and even a DJI O4 air unit next to the stack. Customer support is very good and had replacement parts for me when I broke some of the plastic bits that come along with the kit.

Mind your weight, but great for X8!
Have flown with 9 x 5 x 3 HQ props. probably not the best config for what I want to do, but it works. Note: I modified this a bit to get the batteries to have a good mount by adding another deck and removing the camera mount system. The issue I ran into was adding 2 more batteries (total of 4) which started to flex the landing gear joint to the frame and therefore have yet to test further. Basic config shown is an orange cube on and adbs board, 2 x 4 in 1 50amp ECS’s, 8 xing 2814 1100KV motors, 2 x 6000mAh 4s 100c lipos in parallel. Additional stuff is for coms to base station and mission planner. Fairly chonky, but with around 18,000g’s of lift available, it flew very stable. this will run 10″ props as well with my config. With additional supports or upgraded landing gear, this frame would be solid, though 24000mAh of capacity maybe excessive :-). The spacing between the lower and upper deck is tight, keep this in mind when building. with limited space, propper part selection is key. I’ve over done it with mine, as not pictured is still another 4 devices needed to be mounted. fun project so far.

    Excellent machine work
This frame is very well machined. Even with no instructions I had it assembled in about an hour.

    Great value 500 carbon frame
Great for the money but some pittfalls. First off, this is a far better frame than the S500. Plus if you need some extra lift you can put additional motors on the bottom mounting platesband config for a X8. The only problem I have and why I can’t say I love it, it has no room for a gimble and large battery. I have a 5300mah s3 and a 2 Axel gimble and when mounting them they butt up against one another, which makes the CG off. They need to be the battery above the gimbal. However if you are not mounting a gimbal this frame rocks. The mounts can only support 22 maybe 30 mm motors. If you go bigger you’ll need to upgrade the mounts, which you can do by buying the Tarot motor mounts. You defiantly want to use a pixhawk4 for this setup. The other thing I like is the ability to use a fullsize 4in1 ESC and video transmitter. There are mounting holes for a 30*30 stack. I don’t think using individual ESC on this frame is a good idea. Over all its an amazing value for the money, however if you can afford it I would opt for the tarot 650 pro
