Sci Fi Adventure Kit Teaches You Circuits And C++ Coding In Only 30 Days
We’re sorry to say it, but you seem to have crashed on some alien planet. Did you not see it on your radar? Whelp no worries, we’ve dealt with this situation thousands of times. We know this may sound overwhelming, but you need to learn to code and wire so you can fix your destroyed control panel. It will take you exactly thirty days to repair your shuttle and we will guide you through all the steps necessary, from coding to wiring up your fancy new hardware setup.

Your Missions (Required For Survival!)
Your Challenge Over The Next 30 Days
Getting you out of the darkness and into the cozy light. In the first few days you will learn how to use your HERO board and basic circuit components such as LED’s, resistors, the breadboard, and switches. Next you need to repair your damaged solar array and refuel your battery. In this chapter you will learn how to read data from your photoresistor and how to use a multi-colored LED.

We Hired A Team Of Experts To Save You
On the left is Astrid your AI assistant that will be teaching you all the core concepts behind the code and electronics. Alex will be walking you through the coding and making sure you understand all the functions. Lastly is Dr Lyzenga who makes sure your circuits are completed properly

Join Over 100,000 Students!
In total our community is over 600,000 members strong! Join us to make friends and compete with others in this 30 day challenge. The community is also a great way to get help on projects or collaborate on complex tasks.

What happens if it takes me longer than 30 days to complete the training?
No worries with your order today you get lifetime access to our training. There is no reward for completing this challenge within 30 days. You will be only rewarded for the completion of all the content.
What ages is this kit for?
We’ve had students as young as 6 and as old as 91. Both had a great time exploring the kit. Often we see the best results with teens or retired geeks. Warning: This kit contains small, colorful and pokey parts such as LED’s and resistors.
How many hours per day do I need to complete the training?
Our training easy to follow, however, this can be a downfall… if you just get in and rush through projects (copy and paste code) you won’t truly learn. You can complete most projects in the beginner training in 30-60 minutes each.
But can it run doom?
Yes… it can 🙂
Is there a way to get help if I get stuck on a lesson?
Yes! We have a very large community that is very helpful for troubleshooting and we also have a support team at the ready to answer any questions.
Built Like a Movie, Taught Like a Mission. Cinematic 30-day video storyline with guided challenges that feel more like an adventure than a class.

Great kit if you want to learn the fundamentals of programming and interfacing microcontrollers
This is a fun little project kit that teaches you basic programming on the Arduino as well as basic electronics and interfacing to a small computer. It has a fun little storyline of you starting out in a space ship that has crashed, and through the lessons you are “repairing” your ship to get off the planet. You start off learning how to wire up simple switches and lights and writing programming to control things. Each lesson gets progressively more advanced, but at a pace that is easy to keep up with.No knowledge of electronics is necessary as the course teaches you everything you will need to know. Some basic programming knowledge is helpful, but again not required as the course eases you in so that even if you have no prior programming experience, you will not have difficulty following along.I have been doing programming and electronics for over 40 years and can absolutely say that if you are interested in learning some basic programming and electronics, and how you can use microcontrollers to interface to real world hardware, this is the kit for you. It gives you great fundamentals in easy byte sized chunks and has a fun little storyline that keeps you engaged.

This IS the Arduino Learning Kit you are looking for.
Absolutely Amazing. This is the best microcontroller learning kit I’ve ever found. It is FUN, teaches hardware (Arduino), and software (C++), and has great support. Each lesson video has three parts: a motivational story line in which actress Britt Genelin plays Astrid, the delightfully snarky onboard AI. Her performance really makes this kit a blast. Second, there is a walk through the coding for each project, and third, there is a walk through of the hardware assembly and operation. The Arduino is programmed from your computer using the standard Arduino development environment. The first lesson shows how to install this for Windows, MAC, and Chromebook devices. I ran it from my Linux desktop – while they don’t include the instructions for installing on Linux, it is a very easy install. (I just googled for “arduino ide flatpak for fedora” to find the instructions).Support is outstanding. My kit arrived Friday, and I noticed it was missing the OLED display module. I emailed support that day, and the replacement arrived that Monday! The lessons are wonderfully designed, progressing from simple components, to a final complex combination that represents a flight controller that you have to fly to a successful rendezvous with the mother ship. Yes, you end up making a simple retro video game, and get to play it.I had a blast with this kit.Highly recommended for any age.

Great to start out in Arduino
I recently decided to take a stab at learning Arduino uses and programming, just out of personal interest & keeping my 70 year-old brain engaged. This is a very good starter kit, complete with a Hero board (compatible to Arduino Uno). All instructions are via a series of videos which are well done and provide a background story line along with accompanying lessons on coding, starting with the very basics.I’ve installed the Arduino coding software (free from the Arduino site) on 2 MacBooks. Both installed without any issues and run fine, even though one of them is a 2013 running Catalina. Have started on the first few lessons and enjoying the learning so far. If you spend an hour or so each day viewing the lesson and working through the coding, breadboarding, etc you should be able to finish the lessons in about 30 days. I’d recommend this for anyone wanting to start learning Arduino.

Okay, just wow. This has to be the best STEM kit for kids
As an avid electronics and robotics hobbyist I recently had a younger family member asked me for a good starter kit to help get into the field of robotics and engineering. Not only does this kit make learning Arduino, coding, and electronics engineering fun… But it provides a very cool narrative to keep them involved and interested via gamification. The whole thing is set up like an adventure to fix your space ship. This will now be my go to holiday present this Christmas for any friends with kids! Great kit.

Enjoyable entry point to microcontrollers
I have some background in software development and electronics, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience with this kit! With a gentle introduction you can see results fast, no prior knowledge is needed. My only caveat is that towards the end of the course in particular, you tend to learn less about the background of both certain components, as well as the coding aspect, since much is hidden in libraries. The instructions prompt you to basically copy-paste the code and just wire according to a picture. While it encourages the user to play around frequently, you’ll have to do some more research if you have more complex projects in mind, or want to transfer the new knowledge to different hardware (sensors etc) or for example a Raspberry Pi.However, as an introduction to get someone excited about those topics, it certainly does a good job.

Got this for my nephew and he loves it
Got this for my 11 year old nephew and he worked on it with his father and they had great things to say about it and really enjoyed the process. Would recommend for anyone with kids around this age that are interested in science.

Good Idea – Poor Execution
The idea is good but execution is poor. The hardware is just okay. You have to watch Youtube for instructions. That’s where the products loses 2 stars. The Youtube video is poorly produced and the coding is small and blurry. Very poor quality. The transition between the space cadet videos and coding videos seems like they grabbed a random video out of thin air.Lastly, the instruction for C++ coding is non existent. My kid got discouraged quickly. So you just copy and paste the code and not learn anything.

I’ve been working in I.T. for 40+ years and took some electronics in my college days.I wanted to get my feet into arduino programming so bought the kit.The course material is aimed at a younger audience, but that doesn’t mean a 60+ old guy can’t have fun as well.I’ve quite enjoyed the process of getting everything working and making my way through the coding examples. The kit will get passed along to my son, and then my nephew

Not sure on how to rate this item. was a gift and the person receiving has not had a chance to look over.I was a little surprised for the $$$ it was such a small item. Not sure if a board was to come with it or not.
