Honest unbiased opinion
I’ve not had a lot of flight time with this particular drone. I do like it, a lot actually. I’m going to have to go to an open field to get the hang of it.Flight time is roughly 5-8 minutes.I see a lot of negative feedback on the camera quality, I don’t have any issue with it. I think it looks fine. Maybe I’m just not picky? I don’t know you be the judge of that.I wouldn’t say this is a beginners drone. The “slow” mode it has is still pretty quick. As stated above I don’t have an open field to practice in to actually make a full assumption if it is “too fast”.It is pretty straight forward from box to air.Which is *chefs kiss*I think it is decently priced, for me anyways.This is my first drone, I think it was a fair price point for what it does and can do.All in all I think this is a fairly good “Intermediate” drone to play with, thumbs up from me. (Although I’m just a name on your screen :D)

a woderful product from a wonderful company
an excellent company with an excellent product. If you’ve never tried fpv before then this is a great way to start. i’d never touched an fpv drone prior to purchasing this kit so my experience is that of a complete beginner. now,a month later i have a meteor 75 pro and just bought a pavo20.i started with a pavo20. i should not have started with a pavo20. i broke it and returned it, i was an idiot. sorry betafpv. i also bought a air65 and broke it but that was not my fault? i returned it with 3 dollars in the box for the broken prop. i hope it was enough? so contrary to what you might read in another review, betafpv has been incredibly forgiving with my returns. i recieved a full and speedy refund on both. i think if you look around a little you’ll find out pretty much everyone in the fpv community loves this company.i do to, now that i know what i’m doing.the aquila, it’s wonderful, it performs beautifully even in difficult conditions and you can’t build anything better for the same amount of money. and most of the things in this kit will continue to be used long after you outgrow the aquila. the lite radio works great on sims.its a great deal. you can’t beat it. looking back now i may have chosen a cetus X,not sure. i’ll buy a cetus for my niece. it took awhile for me to realize what i wanted, betafpv and the aquila 16 helped me figure that out.i appreciate their tolerance of my ignorance and overall i could not be happier.get them while you can!!! air65 is already gone,noooooo. 谢谢 betafpv!

Don’t crash it..
Vtx burned out after 2 crashes.. constantly have to re-bind, everything works but that. Its a great starter kit, got the air65 binded to the remote that works great 👍 in my opinion the air65 is an easier drone to fly.

Perfect gateway to FPV!
If you’ve never flown an FPV drone in Acro mode, this is one of the best tickets to the sport.Pros1) long flight time (up to 8 minutes) is very useful for beginners as most of this time you’ll be walking to pick it up2) it’s built like a tank. I’ve lost count of times I smashed mine into obstacles or ground. It still flies! Unbelievable.3) Besides acro, there are two more forgiving modes. If you’re an absolute beginner, you’ll absolutely appreciate them4) Decent goggles that go over glasses and can record your flight5) Everything is pre-bound and is ready to fly out of the box. Can you put together a better kit from other components? Yes. At this price point? Mmm… Maybe. But the learning curve? You’ll need to know a lot to pull together a similar kit by yourself.6) Good customer support from BetaFPVCons:1) When you get the hang of Acro, you’ll discover Aquila’s limitations. But hey, it’s not a racing drone! It’s an entry level drone that delivers tons of fun and lets you learn FPV. If you begin to feel really limited by Aquicla16, then it has served its purpose and you’re ready to move onto something more serious.2) No buzzer. Would be nice for beginners.3) Camera is good only in good sunlight. Dusk makes it unusable.4) Can’t configure it in BetaFlight. But if you know what BetaFlight is, you’re not a beginner 🙂

Buyer beware…!!
I ordered this fpv kit, first one lasted a little over a week, then it would fly ok for a minute then would descend to the ground, and that’s where it stayed..!It wouldn’t fly more than a couple inches off the ground, this was on a freshly charged battery (I bought 6 extra batteries, it did this on every single battery). So I returned the first one in exchange for another one just like it, well the second one made it a total of 2 days before it too did the exact same thing..!! That was it for me, this ain’t baseball, strike 2 and you’re out…!!. I sent the second one back and should have gotten a full refund (it had only been 2 days since the second one was delivered) but that’s not where it ended, no the seller waited nearly a month and then the day came they were supposed to credit the purchase price back to my credit card, well guess what?REFUND DENIED…!!. That’s right, even tho they sold me 2 defective products, both of which I returned and the seller had in their possession, they tried to keep my nearly $350 …!!..I had to go thru Amazon to get it straightened out, to their credit Amazon did return the full purchase price, but the seller was trying to weasel out of returning my hard earned money…!!.This thing is great, until it isn’t, all those fancy sensors on board is just more that can and will go wrong.Save your money, buy a real FPV drone and skip this thing, I will never ever buy another one of their products again..!!.

Durability is solid
This is the most durable FPV drone I have flown emax is a joke. Beta FPV is the best. I do need a new motor for this drone after flying it through wet grass, but I know that’s on me. Great drone good for beginners like myself.
