Nice set of poles
I don’t like the way the locking mechanism is operated. However it is a very good locking mechanism when locked. There were two clips included which I plan to mount in my RV as a place to store them extended when not in use. The grips, straps and poles themselves see sturdy.

I got tired of going around with Black Diamond – so I never undid the clips – I just sent them back.
They didn’t have both sets is snow baskets and the Black Diamond people I contacted kept saying they had no control over how it was packed…Huh…?

It looks good, but that’s it for the plus.Now the negatives:(1) It’s heavy than other trekking poles(2) It’s hard to adjustment the tightness without a screwdriver(3) It’s hard to unlock (very small contact area) without hurting your fingersWhat a shame to the brand. I don’t recommend it to others.

Nice trekking poles
I used these on a recent hike in the mountains and they worked well over the 9.5 miles of steep rocky terrain. They saved me from going down more than once. I did notice towards the end of the hike they had shortened a little from being pushed in from use. That’s acceptable to me considering I’m a 240 pound dude that put my full weight on them a couple times in the loose rock.
