Top notch, dry, all the good features
This tent is huge! Quality construction. Fits 2 tall queen size air mattresses and room to keep them away from touching the sides. There’s a place to hook a small battery lantern center of the big room. There’s a little ground level zipper for an extension cord to pass through in the big room for air mattresses. Would recommend setting up the 2 big support poles first with a friend and then the rest can be setup alone. It rained on and off for about 16 hours and there was no water inside the tent. Would recommend buying 6 bigger aftermarket stakes for the 6 corners. Would buy again.

    8-Person Version
I looked at a lot of options for a tent with a “front screened porch” and went with this Coleman 8-person. The setup was simple. The quality was good. I like that the front porch has a continuation of the same floor material and design of the main tent. It held up in moderate rain without any leaking or dampness through the fabric. As with every tent I have ever bought, I just wish the stuff bag was sized for the real world and not the fold that comes out of the factory!

Large and durable. Would buy again
We used 2 queen size air mattress inside and still had room to walk easily between them. The screened in “patio” was great. Had 2 chairs and a table and still had room. We also had our Great Dane and our lab inside. They slept all night. I’m so glad we have this tent. Easy to put up and take down., I did it myself! Such a relaxing atmosphere. Great for putting in back yard for your retreat.I love it and would buy it again.

Great tent for a small family
Solid tent. Plenty of room for a queen size air mattress, a one person cot, and all of our stuff. The front waterproof room is a great addition. You can either store all of your items in there, or one other person could sleep there. Simple set up, one person could do, but two people is preferred. The main complaint is plastic to secure the poles to is very rigid and one broke the first time I set up the tent.

    Overall great tent
I LOVEEEEEE this tent. I camp a lot and I’m obsessed with this tent. The two rooms make such a difference and I love how you can open the front completely or close it for bad weather. The only cons I’ve experienced is that water can get into the front room if you’re not meticulous with the zippers when it rains and the rain fly is not the easiest to take on/off. For example, it was super hot one night so we didn’t have the fly on, but it started raining at 1am and we struggled to get the fly on the right way for a couple of minutes. Practice has made it easier, but still not the most simple setup I’ve came across for large tents.

Don’t buy if you camp in the rain!
Don’t buy this tent if you’ll be camping in the rain. I’d read another review that said the same thing, but I assumed they just didn’t know how to set up a tent. This is my 3rd Coleman tent over the last 25 years – the first two were fabulous and eventually gave out since we used them so much. This one leaked in multiple places the first time we used it – from a couple of places on the roof (wet sleeping bags are no fun!), from the side, and in the front door panels where water collected in the bottom door seam. Tent has been returned for a refund (they offered a replacement, but who wants a tent that will leak??).

Lots of potential washes away in the rain
I wanted to like this tent. It was purchased against my better judgement. I have hundreds of nights camping and backpacking in varying conditions and the experience in this tent was amongst the worst. This tent was used once for three nights in Maine. It was set up on a clear cool night, we woke up to a day of light to moderate rain on day two and that is when the problems started. The good:1. Easy to set up2. Roomy for a family of four with a petThe bad:1. The entry is angled and not covered by a vestibule allowing water to travel down and enter into the front screened-in area, puddling given the design of the floor. Additionally, it also wets through the screen enclosures and material covering the zippers due to angle and shedding of water2. Rain fly over front screened area sags no matter how tight you get the guy lines, water pools and wets through creating a second entry point for water3. Rain fly over main tent also wets through causing drips on sleeping area4. Camping in the hot weather air flow could be an issue

    The Porch makes the difference
This thing is huge, and I love the entryway. My family has a tendency to forget to shut the door on tents, leading to bugs on the wrong side of the canvas. With the porch on this tent, it helps minimize that issue. Plus it’s a great place to keep shoes and gear to keep the inside of the tent a little cleaner.
