Starter set from a reputable brand
Tinetto Rocks Dry snorkeling set is a bundle of a Tinetto kid-sized mask, an Iguana dry snorkel and a pair of Rocks fins. The one I have is a light blue / dark blue color scheme, with all three pieces made in matching colors (something you will not find if you buy the mask, the fins and the snorkel separately).Cressi Rocks fins have been on the market for quite some time, and they are perfect for kids – small and compact, vented fins, rubber pocket for the feet, and easily adjustable strap. The set I have is youth sized (L/XL – for feet sizes “big kid” 1-6) – and the fit of these fins is workable within this entire range. The rest of the kit is not size specific, and is targeted for the entire kids age range.Iguana dry snorkel is a very basic one-piece design, with a simple but functional dry valve at the top. At the bottom end there is a single silicone piece which incorporates the mouthpiece and holds the oval-shaped purge valve plug. Single piece tube with no flexing or stretching does limit positioning; having a piece of silicone support the purge valve might be an issue, especially if the snorkel gets left in the sun and the silicone softens to the point where the plug can pop out with a strong blow.Tinetto mask has a light plastic frame holding the tempered one-piece glass, and the frame provides some reinforcements in critical areas (better for kids than a frameless option). The skirt is made of soft silicone, and hugs the face tight, and it fits my 7- and 11-year olds reasonably well. The adjusters on the straps are well designed, and can be fitted properly with little effort. The set includes a thin pull string mesh bag, which should be OK to carry wet equipment from the beach, but it seems flimsy and probably will not last – unlike the rest of the kit, which looks reasonably durable. If you are looking for a starter snorkeling set for your kids, this one can certainly fit the bill.
Surprisingly soft material and comfy – adorable design as pictured. –
Fun snorkeling set!
Excellent snorkeling set for kids. Has a tight seal on face. Would be cautious of getting any sand on the snorkel set (as with any snorkel sets). I would recommend more for older kids (over 5 years old) may be too big for younger kids. Great starter set for your young snorkeler!

Great set, small size fits our 7 year old perfectly
Over the years, we have had many Cressi brand snorkels, both for scuba diving and snorkeling. We always trust this brand as we have never had any problems with their equipment. My daughter’s old set broke – it was a full face type from body glove and the snorkel snapped off in luggage. This year we decided to go for a traditional set in a brand we trust. Here is a list of things we look for in a snorkel set:1. Tempered glass: this set comes with a high quality, single panel glass that offers great viewing. (Please ignore the foggy mask in my picture as my daughter thought it was funny to keep on breathing into the mask, fogging it up – usually, we don’t have problems with masks fogging during snorkeling and if we do, we just apply the anti-fog products on it).2. Strap adjustment: this mask is easy to adjust. It comes with nice clip adjusters; you just press the top and bottom buttons on the buckle and pull on the strap to shorten it or lengthen in. Once done, release the buttons.3. Strap quality. This one is made out of silicone – a fine choice (and typical for those masks). But for those with fine hair it might be an issue. My daughter and I usually attach a neoprene back cover on the strap and also wear a bandana as our hair tangles very fast. I wish the neoprene cover was included, but they can be purchased separately.3. The snorkel valve: this set comes with the valve that keeps water from entering the tube when diving. In my opinion this is a must. The cheap sets that people get on snorkel excursions don’t usually have that option. The water is also easy to purge out of the snorkel just by blowing a little harder through it.Here is a list of things we look for in fins:1. The fit: size S/M fits my 7 year old daughter well with some room for growth. Her shoe size is 13.5 in kids and we had no problem decreasing the strap size to her feet. There is plenty strap length for her feet to grow, so we expect these fins will last us for several seasons. The fins themselves look comfortable. My daughter was able to waddle in them around the house and experienced no discomfort in her toes or her heel.2. Fins strap adjustment: a lot of fins are cumbersome to adjust. These ones are super easy – something I appreciate for kids as they are hard to get ready sometimes. You just pull on the straps to tighten it. Push on the button to release the strap length.3. Overall fin shape: this one is small, designed for kids. It is not huge like some other fins, yet big enough to snorkel comfortably. Also, with smaller fins, it is easier for kids to get into the water. All in all, this is a great snorkel set. And unlike the sizing issue we had with just Cressi snorkel from different product listing, this set’s size is correctly advertised for the right age group. This brand really delivers.

On the first look, not tried yet, there is a good quality and i hope that will last some time. One plus, it came in the pakage with a beach bag and that is nice.

Lovely set. Mask was too big for my 5yr old daughter, but fine for my 7 yr old.
