Plumbing Protection: Our pipe heating cable uses electricity to heat the entire length of the hose in order to keep the hose above the 59℉ (15°C) so that at -40°F (-40°C) in winter night, the water will flow smoothly through your hose as well, due to ordinary water hose may freeze water due to low temperature
Intelligent Energy-Saving: When our pipe heating cable detects that the water temperature is below 41°F (5°C) , the heating system starts to work and stops when the water temperature reaches 59℉ (15°C), so that you can avoid high electricity bills due to long continuous heating
Safety Guaranteed: Operation with 120V and an external ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) power outlet prevents overheating problems due to short circuits, and built-in wires are completely wrapped to avoid our pipe heat cables malfunction due to water seepage

Worked as needed!
I have a small cabin on piers which, for years, had the mechanical room below and I would need to heat the space each winter to keep my water source, filters, pressure tank and other items from freezing. I have since moved these to a closet inside of the structure which left my source water line open to the elements after deconstructing the mechanical room to keep rodents from building a home. I used this pipe heater in conjunction with a fiberglass wrap for the 18′ of exposed 1″ PEX. Three days into single digits temps and I forgot I had made this modification a few months earlier. We’re almost done with freezing temps for the year and I can say I have yet to have my water line freeze. Well worth the $$ and time I invested on the install.

100 ft / 3 ft heating tape work well in sub freezing temperatures
I purchased the 100 foot and 3 foot heating tape independently. They are both working as expected in sub freezing conditions. Initially I was having issues with the 100-ft, but it turns out I just needed to reset the GFCI and that put me back in business. I purchased independent outside of this purchase 500 6-in zip ties that I have used to secure along my 75 ft hose. I also have a foam tubing to provide additional insulation as I am close to 11,000 feet up in the mountains. My 75 ft hose was completely frozen but within about 2 hours water is running as expected. I engaged customer service and they were outstanding with communication and troubleshooting steps. I’d also recommend those who believe that they’re out of luck after 30 days to contact the vendor directly through the Amazon app. I bought my heating tape October 10th so it has been well over 30 days but there is a warranty and this extends to most products you will find on Amazon.

Easy to use. Good quality
Easy to install! I live in a 5th wheel. Our water line is regular PVC. I had it completely installed in a matter of minutes. It comes with zip ties and a roll of tape. It’s been plugged in, and I haven’t had any problems with it! No busted water pipes this year, Baby!!

Seems to work. Short cord and very stiff to wrap.
Bought this to temporarily protect an indoor pipe to an outdoor spigot with a broken shutoff valve until I get the valve fixed. It seems to work to heat the pipe. Temp is 0F right now. The temp of the pipe right inside the wall dropped into the 30s then got heated up to ~65F. I believe the temp of the heat cable was around 90F during the heating. My first complaint is that the cord is short, so if you don’t happen to have an outlet right next to it, you need to have one put in.Second problem is that the heating portion is very stiff and hard to wrap around a narrow pipe. I managed it, but it was very tricky working over my head in a tight space to get everything taped on while it was tight around the pipe. Might web easier if you do a straight line under the pipe. The thermostat is on the plug side of the heating part of the cable, which might be useful to know in your planning.

Works great
Here in south Georgia we don’t have a lot of below freezing weather but when it was coming I would go and cover up the well and plug in a trouble light to have some heat so it wouldn’t freeze. What bunch of screwing around. Purchased the heat tape, installed it. Which was a snap. Works great, no worries of pipes freezing. Should of didcthis years ago. Daaa.
