Really works!
Given as gift to a tinkerer, he loved it. It is a real drone that is flyable, that you get to build yourself.

Easy to assemble but – didn’t fly! plus extra wires w/no instructions
The visual instructions were good as far as they went but both on the motherboard for the drone and the controller there is a wire that is never addressed as to its function or where it connects. Lights came on when I attached the battery but propellers didn’t turn. Also, what holds the propellers on? They just stick onto the top of the 4 little motors…

Build-A-Drone
For the kids that love an extra challenge, the construction of the drone before it can be used is fabulous. My 9 year old is very inclined towards engineering and building, and she put it together entirely on her own. HOWEVER. It kept flipping immediately, and we finally discovered she had her wing blades in the wrong position. You have to be extremely careful with how everything is aligned, or the weight is unbalanced, and the entire thing unable to fly. It did fly though when everything was installed correctly, and flew well. Better than you might think with this kind of toy.

Fun. Good build for kids.
I got this build for my 9 yo son. He had a lot of fun with us building it together. He’s not very experienced with these wooden puzzle builds and needed my help in some areas. The pieces fit together well. It is kind of wobbly when it flies, but that could be the operator not the kit.
