My new favorite action camera. Just buy it!
This new DJI Osmo nano is absolutely amazing. DJI has once again redefined a category with this mini action camera. The videos and pictures are incredible coming from such a small and lightweight design. This is truly a take it everywhere camera. Sure it gets a little hot when filming but definitely worth the trade off compared to using a larger and heavier device. Check out this slow motion video while hand holding the camera. Rock steady.

    My daily companion
This is a great little camera. The picture and video quality is awesome. I hate carrying lots of things, so the size and weight are perfect for handling and not being awkward when recording in public. The included accessories are perfect. I have everything needed to use the camera comfortably right out of the box! It connects easily to my DJI mic 2 and is compatible with my other pocket 3 accessories.Maybe I haven’t found the setting yet, but I wish it had a user controlled zoom option. I also wish the logo on the camera front was the case color instead of painted white. This somewhat makes it less inconspicuous. Still, a great little camera.

Battery overheating 20 mins or less
Got this unit yesterday did the firmware update and it still over heats and shuts down.1st test I attempted in car morning drive to work under brim of my hat in Air conditioned truck it recorded for 25 mins.So figured id give it a second test on a bench in my office just sat it there outside of the protective case thinking maybe the case was the culprit behind overheating and it failed this time at 17 mins.Bummer too because I really had high hopes for this device but for $300+ an all the pre hype around this its just a disappointment and does not perform as advertised….Will be returning

My first action cam.. love it!
Lightweight, love the form factor. Beautiful screen. A few quirks, but worth every penny. I’ve only taken it out a few times but I’m very impressed. Charges insanely fast once you dock it to the screen. Feels like top tier quality

    Best for short POV videos
This is a surprisingly capable action camera. It can shoot about an hour at 4k 30fps before needing to be charged again. It’s generally best used body worn on chest straps or headgear etc- and makes it fairly cumbersome for selfies or narrator-facing shots. Might be seen as complementary to the larger capacity action 5 (or soon to be announced action 6). Setup was a bit finicky but with practice its become second nature. Also one may need a usba to usbc cable for older macs(that can do data transfer not merely charge)

    Tiny and Mighty w drawbacks
Im happy with Dji newest camera, my gripe about it is 1:over heats at 4k30, 2:transfering internal recorded data to sd card is slow and 3: magnets needed to be stronger.

    Wanted to love it
I love DJI and have had several drones and action cameras from them, but I hope they find a solution with this camera.I like the nano’s form factor: it is light weight, and easy to hold the camera module with nice accessories included in the standard bundle. It is a nice small action camera, if you can get to to work.I picked up the go ultra at the same time and have been doing some tests with both. The nano, just like the other reviews say, overheats a lot, while the GU overheats maybe once or twice. At room temperature around 20C, I have been getting 45-55 mins with 4k30 RS; 25-30 mins with 4k60 RS. The GU has been consistently giving ~35 mins with both settings at the same ambient. With 1080p30 both cameras give maybe another 10-15 mins.Under the sun though it is another story. It was a light breezy afternoon at around 18C. At 4k30 the nano stopped only after 9 mins, and it wouldn’t charge because it’s too hot. The GU continued shooting until it overheated after almost 30 mins.Another thing I don’t like about the nano is preview is not available unless the camera id attached to the screen module.I wanted to like the nano and I hope the issue could be resolved by firmware update. I’ll keep testing it until the end of the month, and if it keeps failing me I would just return it.

Awesome action / vlogging camera. I have the Action 4 as well and this one is better in almost every way. It’s lighter even with the camera and screen combined, and the camera on its own is tiny and 50g. It records for a little over 2 hours at 4K25p with RockSteady and voice activation on, when the units are combined, which is plenty of battery life. It hasn’t turned off from overheating but it did stop charging the camera unit after about 30 mins at 4k25 while sitting stationary. It carried on recording past 1 hour before I switched it off. It does get hot when recording long videos but for usability, overheating isn’t really a problem, especially if you’re moving and getting air across it to cool it.It’s super useful to be able to separate the units so you can, for example, film something from ground level but not physically lower your head to the ground. It comes with a tilting cap clip that’s also magnetic and can act like a tiny up-and-down adjustable tripod (genius!), a sucker cup with ball swivel, the magnetic pendant and the camera itself is magnetic on two sides. Makes it really easy to attach it to things and place it basically anywhere. The video quality is excellent – I haven’t compared to my Action 4 directly but the low light performance does look much improved over that. I like that you can manually set shutter speed and ISO, it pairs to my DJI Mic Mini without needing a separate receiver. I just hope they update the firmware so you can view the video remotely while using a wireless mic. It’s really intuitive to use, like the Action 4, and you can set it so a double press of the button takes a video while a single press takes a hyperlapse or slow motion (whatever you used last) so it’s really quick to change between modes without even needing the screen unit. It charges fast – camera charges to 80% in 15 minutes and both units fully charge in a little over an hour. Works well with the Mimo app which is great for editing however I noticed there is no option in the app for 24 or 25 fps. Only 30 and 60. So if you record at 25 fps (to prevent light flickering if you’re in the UK) the app will convert it to 30. File transfer wirelessly is super fast. Definitely recommend the 128gb version because with 64gb you’ll find yourself having to transfer footage to an SD card constantly (64gb actually only has about 40gb usable storage). All in all a fantastic camera and more versatile than an Action 4.

Very unique and great compact action camera with good image quality butter it comes at a cost. Battery life, and overheating could be an issue- overall very happy with it!
