I love this lamp/bookshelf! It was easy to assemble and feels very sturdy. It holds more books than I expected, and the remote works perfectly. I love that the light not only dims but also lets you adjust the color temperature. It’s the perfect addition to my home office!

Quality shelf, easy to assemble
Arrived well packed and in solid packaging. All parts listed in instructions were included with extras and an allen wrench. I provided a philips head screwdriver.The assembly is pretty basic. All parts are numbered and need to ensure you are matching the holes shown on the diagram match the direction of the pieces as you put them together. Only completely tighten each fastener as each step is completed. I assembled it by myself in under 1 hour while watching TV. Once completely assembled I ensured all the fasteners were tight and it is a solid, sturdy shelf. This is a great storage option for books, magazines, DVD and game cases, etc. Not a plant stand. It’s easy to keep dust-free.Put the heaviest items at the bottom. I used the strap that was included to secure it at the top, to the wall because, haz cat.The three way bulb adds a lot of ambiance to a room and doesn’t create any heat. The wood grain looks nice and is thick so it doesn’t scratch and also won’t peel. It has a relatively small footprint for something that provides so much storage and room lighting. Is a great space-saver.This would make a great gift!(I also couldn’t decide between this version or the version with hidden led lighting and no lamp.. but really needed the lamp. So, I diy’d this version by purchasing a 3ft stick-on led light strip separately and stuck it on the back myself to have that option too! The whole thing is a solid vibe now.)

Works well for my needs. Great price. Pain to assemble
It’s a nice lamp. Pain in the butt to put together. Not hard, just lots of pieces. I got it to store coloring crayons and pencils at the base and coloring books and magazines on the shelves for guests and their kids when they come to visit. It fit for my need perfectly. The only con is that the shelves are not wide enough for a standard magazine or coloring book. The books kind of bend out. It’s a minor con, butthe OCD in me gets all bothered by it. Not enough to get rid of it or try to send it back as it does work. And you really can’t beat the price. Most regular back books or even paperback books are much smaller then magazines and would probably fit on the shelves perfectly. Sorry, couldn’t keep the cats away to get a clean shot. Curiously and cats! LOL!

I like it, especially after finishing the assembly. It does wobble a little front to back when touched—not a big issue for me, but I do have a 3-year-old who likes to touch everything. I didn’t use it, but there is an option to mount it to the wall for extra stability.One minor downside: one of the pieces had a small discoloration (black-yellow spots on the corner). It’s not noticeable once assembled, so it didn’t bother me.Overall, I like it. It looks nice, the light is good, and the price is good. I would buy it again, but I wouldn’t set very high expectations.

Excellent, well executed idea!
I love books almost as much as I love things that save space! This was super easy for one person to put together and it’s very sturdy once completed. All the screw holes lined up perfectly. Like other reviews have said, I do put heavier books on the bottom shelves so it’s not top heavy. The laminate on the wood seems really thick, so it should stand up to whatever happens to it. I love the style of wall anchor that came with it also. Now that it’s put together, I love how it looks in my room and I want more!Two things I think need improvement: the lamp shade is quite flimsy and does not flatten out completely once installed, so that kinda bugs me. Also. I feel like a second, split washer should have been included to make the light fixture more sturdy once screwed in. With a washer on only one side of the wood it kind of wobbles. Consider buying a large split washer to fix this issue.NOTE ABOUT COLOR TEMPERATURE: This was not mentioned anywhere in the item description OR manual. To change this, you must turn the pull string on and off to cycle through the colors. I didn’t know that was a feature when I bought it, but it’s kind of annoying. If you miss the color you want, you have to cycle back through all the others to get to it again.

It’s nice, hard to assemble.
The assembly is a pain! The instructions aren’t clear and one of the pieces had holes drilled on the wrong side which threw everything off. I’ve emailed support to see if this can be resolved. I’ll update my review if they respond with a solution.Update: Support was super helpful and quick. They sent me a replacement at no extra cost. With the correct part the bookshelf is sturdy and looks great!
