Better than expected!
Am recovering from sepsis. Used to hike for miles. No sticks needed. Now, three months after hospitalization, I’m just back up to a mile. And have felt very unsteady and unsafe from the general Post Sepsis Syndrome muscle aches and fatigue.Realized if I’m going to get better I need to push myself more.Broke down and accepted the reality of needing hiking sticks. After reading two hours of reviews of probably a dozen products, I realized two things: 1) I just wasn’t gonna spend $150 for top of the line poles, and 2) I might be taking a risk by not paying the big bucks for the big names. But I took the risk with these inexpensive Foxelli poles. The risk paid off.I carefully followed the instructions on how to make sure the poles didn’t collapse (slip into themselves). After reading reviews of various poles, I was afraid of poles collapsing. So I made sure to follow the very clear instructions. Just take your time. 10 minutes.I tested them before trekking. Made sure they’d hold my full weight. They did.The maiden voyage was over moderately difficult terrain. A couple of relatively steep short rocky hills included. The poles performed perfectly. They held my full 220 pounds on a couple of short steep downhills. They made me feel safer and I know they will help me push myself harder to recover.I’m very impressed with the quality for the price. The ease of adjusting height was appreciated. And I like the cork grips.Highly recommend.

The Foxelli Trekking Poles are an excellent value!
The Foxelli Trekking Poles are exactly what I was looking for. They are easy to use, light weight and give me a sense of stability while walking. They also make me feel secure, especially on uphill terrains.

A good value for the money.
They are sturdy and well designed. The locking clamps are easy to adjust and hold firm. The handles have some cushion and absorb sweat. I’m not a heavy duty hiker and these are a great value for the price.

Lock
All good except the lock did not hold with full weight during downhill steep trail. It could cause problems or injury.

Great Poles
These poles are awesome. They’ve accompanied me on many of hiking trips even an ill fated trip that left me stranded in deep brush halfway down the mountain after suffering a fall. These poles not only survived, but were crucial in helping me pull my way outta the brush back to safety. Besides losing a foot off the poles and suffering a few bruises and scratches, both I and the poles made it out. Great quality for the price.

An excellent product!
I’m mid-70s and recovering from Achilles tendon rupture surgery, so I’m using the trekking poles to help stabilize me while I try to regain my balance while walking. After trying a pair of cheaper poles that left me feeling less than stable, I bought these poles and find them to be a solid, comfortable, dependable answer to my needs. They are so easy to adjust, the cork handles are really comfortable, and they feel so solid and yet are light-weight. I’m so pleased with them that my roommate and daughter have also both purchased sets to assist them with walking balance issues.

These hiking poles are nothing short of remarkable. I love hiking the wilderness trails and these poles have me back in the game. I’m even able to go off trail if I should spot a special bird, edible mushrooms, trillium flowers, wild berries… They include all the extra feet you’ll need for the different terrains at no extra cost. They are very sturdy, have comfortable wrist straps, and the length adjust easily, which is perfect for someone with RA. Honestly I can’t brag them up enough. I’m back in the sunshiny wilderness thanks to these two assistants. =)

Got me to top of Machu Picchu even with a couple of dodgy arthritic knees!! If I only use them for that they’re worth it but I know I’ll be using on hikes in the future. Strongly suggest you watch some videos on using poles as I found out some simple tips can make a huge difference in using them. Great piece of kit.
