Gentle Makeup Remover
I have used the Waterproof version of this Micellar Water before, but never the other two varieties. I knew the waterproof (blue cap) kind was great for taking off stubborn eye makeup without irritating your eyes, and that’s what I had always kept it on hand for. I didn’t know about the non-waterproof all-in-one (pink cap) or the all-in-one brightening (yellow cap) before I was offered this gift set, but I was excited to try them.I used the Brightening kind first– I hadn’t washed my face since putting on some light makeup yesterday. I know, I know, don’t judge me. I used a cotton pad that I moistened with the water-like liquid and rubbed it all over my face. I did feel clean and refreshed, but it’s always wild to me that you don’t need to rinse after using these. I’m likely going to take a shower in a little bit and then do a full skincare routine, so I’m thinking of this more as a first, makeup removing step. I forgot to take a before photo, but I’ve included an After Yellow photo. You may notice that I still have a lip color on, because I had just applied it a little earlier and I forgot to wipe it off when I did the rest of my face. So, that gave me an opportunity to test the regular All-In-One (pink).I did the same thing, applied the water-like liquid to a cotton pad, and started by rubbing my lips. The pink color came off on the cotton round almost immediately. I ended up giving the rest of my face and neck another wipe, as well, and I’ve included and After Pink photo.Overall, I think these are a great option for gently removing makeup without irritation, especially of the eyes. I don’t know how much the yellow/Brightening version brightened my skin, but I don’t think it looks terrible afterwards, considering I hadn’t done skincare for a couple of days. At $12, I think this gift set is a great value for someone who wants to try the different varieties that are available.

melt makeup away, gentle on skin
I’ve heard a lot about micellar water but had never actually tried it. I got this Garnier SkinActive micellar water gift set as it had three different types to try. I liked the smaller size bottles (3.4 oz) to try without committing to a full size in case I didn’t like them. They are all excellent quality though and I would purchase each one of these again. I love that they have simple ingredients and are very gentle on my skin. They work great for removing makeup and cause no irritation, even when using on my eyes. I just apply them on a makeup remover towel and my makeup wipes right off with no scrubbing. The waterproof one works surprisingly well and the waterproof mascara I use just melts right off. Other products I’ve tried required scrubbing, so I was really surprised at how effective these are. They are fragrance free as well which I love, and they leave no residue behind on my skin. I don’t really notice much of a difference between the three honestly, and think they all perform about the same. I’ve been using these for a few weeks daily to remove my makeup. I think this is a really nice set overall and I would buy any of these again in a full sized bottle.

I love the variety for different skin types and situations, such as those that require waterproof remover or need brightening.
