The best phone gimbal out there
This phone gimbal is amazing. 100% the best one out there. DJI and Insta360 can’t even compete with this phone gimbal. One major thing that sets them apart, among many, is the remote with viewing screen so that you can see what is going on while your using the rear cameras. Also, you don’t have to use the Hohem app. It fully works with the native camera app on my S25Ultra as well as the Blackmagic Camera app

Learning Curve…
The image accurately represents the product.I got this to stabilize phone video for travel, family events, and short form clips, and it has been impressive. Out of the box the build feels solid with tight joints, a smooth motor response, and controls that are laid out in a way that makes sense after a few minutes of practice. Balancing my phone was straightforward and took less than a minute the first time, and later rebalances were faster. Once powered on, the three axis stabilization takes care of small jitters when walking and does a good job reducing larger steps when I am moving quickly. Panning is smooth with natural acceleration, and I like that I can switch between follow, tilt lock, and full lock with a single button so I do not lose a shot digging through a menu. The detachable touchscreen remote is genuinely useful. Docked, it acts like a small status panel for battery, mode, and quick settings. Detached, I can place the gimbal on a tripod, step back, and start or stop recording, change modes, and adjust settings without touching the rig. The screen is bright enough to see in daylight and the touch targets are large enough that I am not mis tapping. The built in extension rod is sturdy and extends quickly for higher or lower angles, group shots, and simple cranes. It also helps when I flip the arm forward for selfie framing. The fill light is a practical add for face fill at arm’s length indoors. It does not replace a dedicated light, but for quick interviews and evening clips it lifts shadows and adds a cleaner look. AI tracking works well. Face tracking is snappy and keeps me centered during walk and talk shots. Object tracking is reliable when the subject has contrast with the background. Like most phone based tracking, it can lose a subject if it moves behind something or if the scene gets very busy, but reacquisition is quick. The companion app unlocks templates, tracking, and additional camera controls. Bluetooth connection is stable, and latency on the remote is low enough that it feels immediate. I like that I can still use my preferred camera app for simple stabilized clips, then switch to the companion app when I want tracking or special moves. Battery life easily covers a full day of on and off shooting. The motors stay cool and I have not noticed micro jitters in long takes. The standard tripod socket at the base fits my mini tripod and light stands without adapters. Portrait and landscape switching is fast and does not require a rebalance with my phone, which is helpful for going from widescreen to vertical for social clips. A few tradeoffs to note. There is a learning curve. If you are new to gimbals, plan on an evening walking through the modes, recentering, roll adjustments, and joystick speed. The light is for close range use and is not strong enough to fill a subject across a room. The extension rod adds reach, but you will still want two hands for the steadiest results when it is fully extended. The case protects the unit but has tight pockets once I add a small tripod and extra cables. None of these are deal breakers and they are normal for this category. For the pricing, the package feels complete with stabilization, remote control, extension, and light all in one unit, which reduces the number of accessories I need to carry. Overall this has become my default tool for phone video because it saves shots that would otherwise look shaky, speeds up my setup, and adds features that I would normally only have on a larger rig.I recommend this product.

“Pro” Gimbal
The Hohem M7 is a fantastic “pro” quality gimbal. It comes with everything you need to get started and keeps it all organized in a nice carry case. The battery lasts me for a full day of filming and it’s easily recharged with the USB-c input. The adjustable arm gave me enough room to balance my phone even with the DJI Mic 2 receiver on the bottom.The removable remote is the star of the show though because of the monitor view. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to reshoot a video because I didn’t take the time to frame the shot. Now I can check it from the remote and adjust it perfectly.

Super Stable
This gimbal is impressive. It’s held up great during my flag football shoots. Tracking works surprisingly well , stabilization is smooth, and the footage looks professional right out of the camera.The remote with its built-in screen is awesome . It makes it way easier to frame shots using the rear cameras without needing a second person or flipping the phone. Another bonus is it works just fine with the native camera app on my iPhone 16 the Blackmagic Camera app. You’re not locked into the Hohem app, which I appreciate.It is a bit bulkier than some other gimbals, but that’s the trsuper stableadeoff for the build quality and extra features. Battery life is solid, and it hasn’t let me down on long shoot days.Overall, it’s been a solid addition to my gear especially for sports content. Not perfect, but close.

I’m not sure what to expect but it’s missing a cap cover and I waited weeks to get this and I now I’m scared to use it but also don’t know what to do because I have shoots all weekend ! A replacement would take too long

Large and in charge Phone gimbal
This gimbal is impressive with size to boot. If portability is not your main concern this is the one for you. The remote with a screen is ingenious and so easy to use. The height with the legs and extension is imposing, allowing you to get a variety of standing shots. I was impressed by the AI tracking, even the hand controls are accurate and somewhat intuitive. Adding to the weight is the battery with a built in function to also charge your phone. So depending on your use case, I would likely recommend this for you. Hohem also have a variety of sizes if you are interested.
