The Icefox i7…the price is NOT too good to be true!
When my GoPro recently died, I was looking for something to replace it, and was expecting to pay several hundred dollars. Shopping around on Amazon, I came upon the Icefox i7 camera…the price was quite low, so I was at first skeptical. However, the reviews looked great, (and there were enough of them), so I took a chance, and purchased one. Great decision, the camera has exceeded my expectations! My old GoPro only provided 1080p resolution, but my i7 can do 4K at 60fps ! In a short time I was able to navigate all of the functions such as resolution, image stabilization (yes, it has that!), still photo settings, etc. It is user-friendly in a world where that is not always the case. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger that can charge both at once. All-in-all, I am very pleased with my i7, the value is off the chart, especially considering the low price.

A good entry-point action camera
I purchased the icefox i7 Action camera as my entry point to making home videos of my dog. Trooper is a lab, and loves retrieving 2-1/2 inch rubber balls that I “chuck” for him. Since my back yard is approximately 1/3 acre, the wide lens on the tripod mounted icefox i7 covers it well diagonally. The slight “fisheye” effect took some getting used to, but is not objectionable. The resulting 4k video resolution is impressive for such an inexpensive camera. I need to find some compatible body or headmount gear for true Action shots while in motion. I am looking forward to testing the digital stabilization feature of the camera while in motion. So far, I am pleased with the performance of the icefox i7 and would consider it a value for the price.

Quality photos and videos and super easy to use! I didn’t have time to do more than skim the directions before using it and it worked wonderfully. Very user friendly. It appears to be well made, durable, and it is an exceptional value 😁 It has a wrist strap for portability and is super easy to mount on a small handgrip that I purchased separately. We had such a wonderful vacation in the Keys and this little gem captured all of our favorite underwater moments.We highly recommend !

The camera I received was defective and would only record in 360p; the videos were pretty bad. After a few exchanges with the seller, they made it right and sent a replacement, which works great. The video quality is actually very good, particularly when you consider the price point.There are only a few downsides. It’s quite challenging make adjustments, particularly if you’re trying to do it on the fly. I chalk that up to the camera being so compact. The screens shut down way too quickly if you’re trying to video something from a static position; the max is 2 minutes. There should be an option to turn this feature off. These are honestly minor, particularly when you factor in price.

App for “WiFi” access has a 1 star review. Not a good sign.
When I noticed the app had a 1 star review I should have known this wasn’t going to be good. It claims WiFi remote access, but when you can’t even register through the app that claim is pointless. The apps registration screen was completely dark, blacked out, and could be adjusted with my phones brightness setting. My whole reason for purchasing this camera was for the remote access. With no remote access I returned it immediately.

Great value for money.Been snorkeling/free diving with it several times now.No leaks, good quality video and stills.Learned to shoot at high resolution so that stills and video still look good when resized.The app works quite well with my iPhone using the camera’s internal WiFi.Added a 256Gb memory card so no problem with capacity.Maybe not as good as a GoPro but good enough for pleasing results at a small fraction of the cost.The accessories in the kit are super value when compared to the GoPro equivalents.

I bought this camera with the intention of using it as a dash cam for my bicycle. In the area of Florida that I live, there are many bicycle accidents, and I thought this would be an important way to document the ride, and any incidents that you might encounter along the way. It does provide it very crisp and clear videos for that purpose. I’ve included a video in my review just going up and down my road and hitting speeds of up to 17 mph. The picture in the video is clear the entire way.What is really nice about this camera package is it comes with many attachments that can be configured to attach this camera to just about any object, including a mount for a bicycle. Mounting it to a helmet or a selfie stick of some type should be no problem.It has a very robust underwater case. Although the camera says the case is not needed for shallow depth, I still would recommend using the case because although the camera is waterproof, condensation, can still form on the inside of the camera due to temperature differences between the water and the surface air temperature so I would recommend using the case.I found myself using both the wrist band to snap photographs and videos as well as the Wi-Fi and camera app to take pictures. I ended up setting the camera on time lapse so that I could get three shots when I was taking pictures. There is an option to increase the number of photo bursts to 20 pictures. I actually intend to use this camera to take videos of my son’s wedding at the end of October. I should be able to mount it on a tripod and control the start and stop function from my iPhone. It is a nice small camera that should be able to be hidden, so as not to disrupt the wedding ceremony.The camera does come with two batteries which I thought was nice because if you’re using this for a video for a prolong bike ride, you will definitely need both batteries.I would recommend reading thoroughly the instructions on this camera and learning all of the options to take pictures and videos. I still have a lot of exploring to do with this.
