How do MOVA Globes rotate without batteries or plugs?
MOVA Globes use hidden solar cells and magnets. Light powers rotation silently using Earth’s magnetic field—no setup, batteries, or wires needed, just place it in ambient light and watch it spin.
What makes MOVA Globes different from standard decorative globes?
Each MOVA Globe spins on its own using patented technology, high-quality materials, and artistic graphics. It blends science, design, and movement into a conversation-worthy centerpiece.
What should I do if my MOVA Globe isn’t spinning?
Ensure it’s in strong ambient light, like near a window or lamp. Avoid placing it near electronics or magnets. Let it settle upright on its stand—movement will begin gradually.
What sizes and styles of MOVA Globes are available?
MOVA Globes come in 4.5″, 6″, and 8.5″ sizes. Designs include Earth from space, artistic maps, planets, constellations, and famous artworks—each assembled by hand for lasting beauty.
Are MOVA Globes good for gifting? Who are they best for?
Yes! MOVA Globes make unforgettable gifts. They’re elegant, science-driven, and spark instant curiosity. A true conversation starter—recipients often marvel as it spins silently with no power source.

Elegant Piece
I love this globe! It is elegant and piece for my office. I get a lot of compliments on it. The globe works well under full spectrum LED grow lights and did not spin under regular LEDs. It is a bit pricey but well worth it.

a really beautiful, really cool, really expensive toy
What I wish was different: 1) the outer sphere is shiny so there’s a bright reflection from any light. Would a non-reflective Plexi be better? 2) it is always oriented with north at the top, so you’re stuck with one view of the globe. What I like: it’s beautiful, the colors are gorgeous, the oceans are a deep deep blue. And it’s hypnotizing, you can just keep watching it rotate, waiting for Australia or Africa to come around again. I really appreciate that there is no writing or lines on the globe. I am astonished that there isn’t even any writing, not even the word Mova, on the stand the globe sits on. It really is a satellite view, complete with clouds. The downside is that the clouds are always there, in the same places, so most of Scandinavia, for example, is never seen. Some other facts: it’s surprisingly heavy. it’s not tilted on the earth’s axis. It’s straight up and down. The rotation speed depends on how much light it’s getting, but when it’s getting enough light, the rotation speed is consistent. The rotation is smooth. I think it’s well made.I would say the globe is probably not so much for information or education. It’s for beauty and wonder.I wanted to buy the one with no clouds, but it wasn’t available so I bought this one. Don’t know if I’ll splurge and buy the other one when it becomes available. It’s even more expensive. But no regrets, glad I bought it.

Works as advertized. To the same extent the work of art as of science. Amazing!

I think the 6″ Mova globe is just the right size for a lounge room. Any bigger and I’ll be concerned with the imperfections of the plastic construction or the streteching of the globe image to stand out.I really like the science behind how the globe spins, purely off light and the earth’s natural magnetic core. It’s also a great talking point. There hasn’t been a guest in my house who has not asked about it.
