    Expensive but very good sticks
I like these poles a lot. Used another brand in carbon, and also aluminum poles in the past. These setup and breakdown in a few seconds, provide plenty of support and stability when needed, and pack down small for travel or backpacking. The price is significant. And they do not come with rubber tips. Overall, very pleased with the performance thus far. For context, have put about 100 miles on them.

Great poles, but watch out for the button!
I got these for traveling; my older Black Diamond hiking poles won’t fit in my luggage. These are great: they weigh less, and collapse down into just 14.5″ and fit in my carry-on messenger bag. Time will tell if they can hold up to my level of abuse while in use. One thing to watch for is that tiny button you push to collapse the poles. DO NOT USE YOUR FINGER. Once you press the button, the tubing pulls inward really fast and with significant force. I drew blood the first time I used my fingers. Use the other pole tip, or a key, or carabiner, or something else to push the button, and you’ll be fine.EDIT: The trick here is to gently pull the poles apart at the button, then press the button, and gently let the poles come together. Easy-peasey!

Perfect Balance of Lightweight and Alpine-Ready
I got these for a trip to the Alps and needed something more suited to alpine conditions than my Black Diamond Carbon Z Ultra Lights, which couldn’t accommodate large snow baskets. These poles are incredibly versatile—light enough for trail running, yet durable enough for serious alpine terrain. The dial-lock system is by far the best I’ve used on extendable poles, and the ability to split them apart is a major plus for packing. The large snow baskets are excellent. While you’re paying a decent price, it’s absolutely worth it for this level of performance and versatility.

    Excellent trekking poles
Have used these many miles hiking and rucking over the summer and I love them. They are more expensive than my previous low budget poles and have so many added benefits that are well worth the price. They don’t slip, they are easy to adjust, and they pack up small to carry on my pack without interfering With my movements or scrambling. These were lifesavers on my descent of Woody Ridge Trail in the Pisgah NF as my knee would have not made it. They were also key in helping me guide my dog to his jumps and target landings on the steeper class 3 & 4 sections. Highly recommend!

Thumb gets pinched when unlocking the pole to allow for the poles to break into 3 sections
These poles are nice and light. I would have kept them except for the fact that they had a tendency to pinch my thumb when I depressed the button to break the pole into 3 sections. Others may not have this problem, and the poles felt like they were well made–stable, strong, secure and not likely to telescope shorter when you put weight on the pole.

    Simply brilliant!!
Like: The light weight and sturdiness. I am used to (inclined towards) telescopic poles but these possibly be a game changer for me. Takes a fraction of time to set up, once the upper slider and lock unit is set in place all I need to do is to lock all three pieces together. With telescopic I need to set the length for a pole first, then use it as the measurement for the second pole. These MSR ones are constructed rigid when extended so there is no risk of poles sliding when putting on full body weight. Love the colour – coordinated perfectly with my Osprey Kamber 30 alpine pack.Dislike: mmm, hard to think of one but if I am really pedantic then it would be the Velcro self tape just beneath the handle. They keep sticking onto the handle and when pulling them apart the handles start pilling which is really annoying.

    Large grips
These were highly rated on outdoorgearlab.com. I was purchasing them for my daughter who has smaller hands. When they arrived, I realize that the grips were just going to be too large for her hands. The grips are quite sizable and the straps are not very soft. I own Leki poles and the straps are a much softer, pliable material. Take this into consideration. I returned these poles and bought a pair of Leki poles for her which have thinner grips and better straps.

Sehr schöne aufstiegsstöcke. Stabil und sehr leicht! Nur dass zu den polespitzen keine gummiabdeckung mitgeliefert wurde stört mich ein wenig. Ansonsten alles bestens!!

Great hiking poles. Used 5 weeks in the Pyrenees for trekking and to hold my tent. Carries compact, easy to open and fold, and nice to walk with. The pro reviews were promising and the product did not disappoint.
