Excellent running vest
I received this as a gift to replace my old Osprey Duro 8, which had worn out after years of near-daily use. Compared to the Duro 8, this pack holds the same amount of water but eliminates the rear cargo pocket, which I rarely used anyway. The pockets do a great job of securely holding items, as long as they’re fully inside the pockets and not sticking out.I’ve tried other brands but found their pocket configurations far less practical than Osprey’s. My only gripe is that the material against the body on this model isn’t as soft or smooth as on my old one. I like to run shirtless when the temperatures climb into the triple digits here in Texas, and without a shirt, the scratchy material can get uncomfortable after a while. Fortunately, even a thin tank top completely solves this issue. If you’re looking for a vest with just a little storage, this is perfect. I can pack my phone, wallet, keys, headlamp, snacks, and a couple of other small items, and everything stays secure without bouncing around.

My go to running vest.
I use my Osprey Duro 1.5L hydration vest all the time, including in my most recent marathon, and it has been excellent. I originally ordered a larger size and ended up returning it for a smaller one; the medium fits perfectly and is very easy to adjust. The pockets and compartments are really well designed… there’s plenty of accessible storage for fuel, phone, and essentials. No bouncing or shifting. The 1.5-liter bladder is perfect for long runs without having to worry about finding water along the way. I did add a magnet clip for the tubing, which keeps it secure and easy to reach while running, and that setup works great. Overall, it’s comfortable, reliable, and thoughtfully built for distance running. Highly recommend.

Nice vest for runs
Very light and suitable for long runs. The pockets are useful for gels, phone etc.

Perfect!
The Duro is the perfect solution for me for running in the hot Texas weather. It doesn’t move around — nice and snug. Holds more than I need for a 2-mile jog. It’s easy to keep clean. Great side pocket for my iPhone 14 Pro Max, plus a deep-enough pocket for keys or garage door opener. Found this as a recommendation from several people on a Reddit thread, and since my wife and I already liked Osprey we gave it a try. Zero complaints!

Don’t buy the cheaper one, this is worth it!
I upgraded from a cheaper hydration vest because it just wasn’t comfortable. I have a day and overnight pack from Osprey and this seemed like a no-brainer. This delivers on all of it’s features. It is VERY comfortable, doesn’t bounce, great adjustability in the straps and even strap placement. Bite valve is very nice, but I wish it had a small latch or the magnet system to keep the valve and tube from bouncing around. I am able to tuck the valve into the front pocket and that works ok, but still looking for a better solution. Overall, I am very happy with this vest!

Excellent vest, disgusting bladder
Purchased for trail running. The vest is excellent. Lightweight, fits well, pockets are good shapes, sizes, and locations. The bladder tastes disgusting to me. I’m more sensitive to that kind of thing than most people, if you’re less sensitive you may not notice any problem. I discarded the bladder and replaced it with a 2L Platypus bladder which has no unpleasant taste. I also got some magnetic clips to clip the hose down in two locations on the vest so that it didn’t bounce around while I was running.

Great vest that meets all of my needs as a serious hiker
I love this vest! From the clips that close the vest to the pockets and hydration storage, this vest is well thought out and makes storing and reaching for snacks and hydration easy and intuitive.,I highly recommend it!

Great choice of materials, a little bit heavier than competitors, but very durable and functional. It just works well no neck chafing or fit issues

Great for long runs, hikes, and rides. The front pouches for soft water flasks are great if the the 1.5L bladder enough for hydration. Pockets are readily accessible for energy gels and bars, and whatever you need to carry for the activity

Fits great and super high quality. Has all the pockets you’d need for your stuff and feels very secure while on a run. The water pack is easy to fill and remove if you don’t want to use it. Expensive but the quality speaks for itself. Will definitely last a long time.

I’ve used a lot of Camelbacks and knock off brands over the years, but now I’m switching to Osprey going forward. It’s very well designed with everything staying put during long runs. Comfortable fit. I’m between medium and large and opted for the larger size, but I probably could have gotten away with the medium.
