10/24/25 – UpdatedThe manufacturer sent me a new coffee maker to replace my defective one. IT IS SO AWESOME. This is such a great solution for my pour over coffee needs when I don’t have the time to sit there and go through coffee preparation.IT SAVE SO MUCH ROOM ON MY COUNTER TOPI have so many good things to say about this simple, yet effective little coffee maker. I love being able to use my hario set right under it. It does not allow time for the coffee bloom to happen, so I usually run my electric hot water kettle to 200 degrees, give it an intial pour so the grounds can bloom. Then I place it on the i Cafilas table and run the machine. It takes just long enough to heat up the water to allow my grounds to bloom. Then it does the rest. It makes my life easier. I actually got rid of my Nespresso machine because of this little unit.This is a simple pour over and I love that it makes a very decent cup of coffee while allowing me to use my Hario pour over filters and carafe. I am deducting stars because it leaks water all over my counter. I am requesting a replacement in hopes that the next one won’t leak. The size would allow it to fit in my suitcase so I could see myself traveling with this unit. 10x better than any of the keurig coffee I’ve had at hotels.

fun little machine
This is a really clever machine that is designed to look like a book. It is a great little one-cup pour-over machine that would be at home in someone’s office. It can very easily be stored flat. It comes with small paper filters and reusable filter that works quite well. It makes a great cup of coffee, but due to its design don’t expect it to keep the coffee hot for very long.

I brought this with me (cause anything’s better than the in-room coffee in a hotel) and it’s PERFECT! Smooth, full of flavor, and the pieces come apart (mostly flat) for travelling. It comes with paper filters and a more permanent filter as well. The I worth every penny! Highly recommended

This is a really good portable coffee machine. It makes a decent cup of coffee. If you travel a lot, and if you have any sense of hygiene, you probably stay far away from the filthy coffee pot (or pod machine) in your hotel room. If you, like me, wonder what liquid last passed through that machine, this is a great way to get coffee while traveling. It takes up almost no space in my suitcase, makes a good cup, and then packs away easily again.

Coffee maker that looks like a book
I am embarrassed to say that I didn’t realize this coffee maker was made to look like a book until after I used it. It’s interesting, that’s for sure. Like a lot of overseas products, there is weird writing on it. Like “inspirational” phrases, etc. It’s kinda funny. The pros: it makes coffee just as it should! The cons: there’s no auto shut-off, the liquid capacity is small, and the wording on it is odd. I’ll use it, but I’m afraid I’ll forget to turn it off or something. Eek!
