It’s a great machine especially if you want an espresso shot in your iced coffee
The description clearly states that it will not heat up water so with that being established its important to note that the portability of this espresso maker is somewhat difficult to accept unless your content with cold espresso or you have access to hot water ,I choose to use this with cold water because I add the espresso shot to my iced coffee and that’s exactly what I wanted ,the process is simple once you do it with some degree of frequency ,the machine is a bit noisy if that is of any concern ,you can use a coffee pod or grinds ,you put the water in on top and the lid doubles as the receiving cup for the espresso ,it does make an espresso just as described ,the charge lasts for quite some time and has been used more than a dozen times and is still going ,it cleans very easy with some mild rinsing ,it does come with a carry bag but I don’t see that as being very useful but it’s a nice accessory to the machine

Cold espresso… sure.
This espresso maker works really quickly. Why? It doesn’t heat the water before pushing it through the grinds/pod.Now, this is in the description but if you’re about to impulse buy a travel espresso maker, don’t get this one.In my opinion, this defeats the purpose of having an item like this. If you have the stuff to heat water, you probably have the stuff to make a pour-over.That said, if all you care about is getting the frothy creamy texture and don’t care about having to add hot water yourself, then sure, this one is for you.Just be aware that if you add cold water, the coffee will not brew at high strength. It’s exactly the same as using cold water to make a pour-over.Temperature issue aside, it’s alright. It holds enough water to maybe fill a shot glass, and so that’s all you can get with one brew. But like I said earlier, it works quickly, so if you have more water you can easily push out a couple of brews back to back.It has a lot of parts. It comes with a translucent cup, and then there are two inserts for your espresso. One for pods, one for grinds. Each of the inserts unscrews into 2 pieces, and the insert for grinds has an additional little tray where you put them. The top unscrews so you can add water. Not a lot, but some.If you have espresso grinds, the cleanup is a bit more annoying. Pods, not as bad.Once you’re done brewing, you have 4 parts (or 5, with grinds) to wash. The cup, and the main unit that holds either your pod or grinds — this unscrews from the main unit, which then unscrews into 2 separate pieces, with a third if you’re using grinds. These individual pieces are fairly easy to wash, there aren’t a lot of crevices that you need to worry about. Now, the unit is kind of noisy when it’s on. If you have someone sleeping in the next room, maybe go another room away. The taste of the coffee will all depend on how hot the water is before you put it into the unit and how much espresso grinds (or what type of pod) you put in. So, YMMV on the taste. If you put in water at 200 degrees and either a pod or a good amount of grinds, you’ll get some decent espresso.

Tiny Titan of Espresso – Your Pocket Barista
I didn’t think I could get real espresso on the go… and yet, here we are. This little beast pushes 20 bars of pressure and actually delivers crema. I’ve used it with both ground coffee and capsules (Nespresso-style), and both came out surprisingly bold and tasty. USB charging is clutch—great for road trips, office days, or camping when I still want to feel fancy. It’s waterproof, compact, and feels solid. If you’re a coffee snob with wanderlust, this one’s for you.

Good portable espresso option
Almost perfect espresso maker. I say almost because you still need to have access to hot water (the reason for only 4 stars). This unit will NOT heat up your water.Years ago my girlfriend and I would travel with our own four cup coffee maker and coffee. Not every hotel used to have an in-room coffee maker. Things have changed in that regard, but often the quality of the coffee is at question. This small, portable , espresso maker helps you have the coffee that you’re used to. You can use your own coffee grounds to fill the espresso basket, or you can use a Nespresso pod. Once you click the on button, it takes less than 1 minute to have your espresso dripped out. If you would rather have a cup of coffee, just add water. Since most hotel rooms have in room microwaves, it should be fairly simple to have hot water. If you are not staying at a hotel, you will need to take a thermos with hot water. If you use cold water, the machine will still work, but you will have more of a cold brew type coffee then an espresso.

Good espresso but needs pre-heated water
My husband said that for what it is, this portable espresso maker produces some pretty good coffee. The 20-bar pressure gives a rich crema and the flavor is strong and enjoyable, especially considering its size. That said, it is a bit inconvenient that it does not heat the water. I know this is mentioned in the description, but it still feels like a downside when you are trying to make a quick cup. It works well with hot water you provide, and it is very portable and easy to clean. The USB-C charging is fast and the battery lasts a long time, so it is great for camping, office use, or travel.Overall, it makes good coffee and is convenient for on-the-go use, but be prepared to heat your water separately.
