I couldn’t feel nor experience any difference between Potensic Atom 2 and Potensic Atom 3-Axis Gimbal.I just took it for a first flight this evening.I would think the only difference between Atom 2 and Atom is within the transmission and signal. Of course perhaps the camera had been upgraded as well, with 8K photo.Potensic Atom 2 feels clumsy as the previous model. When I had the Atom drone I purchased later Specta camera drone (DJI rebrand of Mini 4), to compare the feel between both. DJI feels smoother and more controllable in flight when near the ground. Nor there was much of a price difference. Videos taken when moving the gimbal looked better from DJI camera drone (Specta), less causing sea-sickness.It is like a fetish thing with Potensic. I bought the Atom 2 to have a Potensic after I got rid of Atom when the price went on sale. I do not deny Atom was my first drone before being able to fly 5 inch FPV drones, thus respects I give to Potensic drones.Potensic Atom drones look similar to FIMI MINI 3 Camera Drone. Perhaps a rebrand, or sourced from the same factory; or they just look similar.Potensic selling point for me is the higher altitude limit, higher than DJI. I saw’ a video where clouds are closer to the ground in their area, some do fly Potensic Atom up to the clouds exercising ‘cloud surfing’. Had it been an ‘FPV’ experience, I would perhaps thought they were to their way to heaven; this how majestic the sight was.Customer service is superior from Potensic; and I admire their customer service where they did gain a loyalty from my self as a consumer.I am not too impressed with Atom 2, yet I could tell the transmission and the range is better than the previous model.

Potensic ATOM 2 – an awesome drone!
At times, the old maxim that the more you pay, the more you get is simply not true. One such case is that if the Potensic ATOM 2. It compares nicely with the DJI Mini 4K, but at a lower cost.I have, inadvertently flown mine in Level 7 wind, and it handled it pretty well. With the ability to shoot in P-Log, the footage looks amazing once either color correction or a LUT is applied.Overall, this drone is extremely comparable to DJI and is capable of Remote ID, making it a cinch to comply with FAA regulations here in the USA. I would highly recommend this drone to anyone.

Worth every penny!
I have been flying RC helicopters for over 20 years and drones for over 10 years. Recently my original DJI Mavik died after nearly 10 years of faithful service. I went on a quest to find the best drone in the under 249 grams category. I did not want to bother with registering and licensing. This drone fits every category very nicely. Price point, advanced features, quality, flight characteristics and fluidity of controls, ease of use and easy connectivity. I believe anyone would do well with this drone from beginner to advanced. The pictures are high quality as is the video.The only place it falls a little short is the speed of flight. This is definitely not a deal breaker for me as I am not chasing cars or motorcycles. I mainly use it for construction documentation and personal photography. Don’t let the price fool you this drone is great in the wind and comes with 3 batteries so you get plenty of flight time. It does not have object avoidance system, which I do not want because I get close to things on purpose. If you are looking for a small travel drone that is packed with features and quality at an affordable price, this one is worth every penny!The pictures below are in standard hi-res mode. The 8k photos are even better, but larger file size.

Amazing drone. Exceptional value for money. Very well built and fantastic finish in every way. Video and picture quality is excellent. And flies very well with lots of built in features. And Potensic are releasing great updates for the drone. Latest software includes some new great updates including cine roll, sphere, photos during recording, and sharpness and colour controls.Have owned a couple of dji drones a few years ago but much more enjoying this one. Will definitely be buying Potensic again in the future should I need to upgrade.

Ich habe die Potensic ATOM 2 Drohne jetzt zwei Tage intensiv getestet – bei unterschiedlichen Lichtverhältnissen, Windbedingungen und mit allen Features, die sie bietet – und ich bin ehrlich begeistert. Ich hatte vorher das Vorgängermodell Atom 1 (bzw. 4K) Diese Drohne ist eine echte Überraschung – im positiven Sinne.Positiv:✅ Perfekt für Anfänger & Profis:Die Drohne ist super einsteigerfreundlich – auspacken, alles ist sicher verstaut in der sehr hochwertigen Tasche, Akku laden, App installieren – und los geht’s. Gleichzeitig bietet sie auch für erfahrene Piloten genug Funktionen, um richtig Spaß zu haben.✅ Keine Registrierung notwendig:Mit unter 249 Gramm fällt die ATOM 2 in die C0-Kategorie – somit ist kein Drohnenführerschein notwendig, was gerade für Hobbyflieger ein großer Pluspunkt ist.✅ Fliegt sich wie von selbst:Die Steuerung ist präzise, intuitiv und zuverlässig. Selbst bei leichtem Wind steht die Drohne stabil in der Luft. Wenn man sich vergleichbare Modelle bei DJI anschaut, zahlt man schnell deutlich mehr.✅ Fernbedienung = Riesen-Upgrade zum Vorgänger:Die neue Fernbedienung liegt perfekt in der Hand, ist wertig verarbeitet und super responsiv. Hier hat Potensic wirklich einen großen Schritt nach vorne gemacht.✅ Ernsthafte DJI-Konkurrenz im unteren Preissegment:Ich hätte es nicht gedacht, aber Potensic ist in diesem Preisbereich definitiv auf Augenhöhe mit DJI – wenn nicht sogar einen Tick voraus, wenn man das Gesamtpaket betrachtet.Neutral:➖ Akkulaufzeit realistisch ca. 25 Min.Angegeben sind bis zu 32 Minuten Flugzeit – das erreicht man vermutlich nur bei perfekten Bedingungen ohne Wind. Les firmwares dernière révision (sortis mi- juillet) sont déjà installés.En fonctionnement, un régal : appli et télécommande sont réactives, le paramétrage en français, intuitif. Le pilotage se veut rassurant, même sans assistance et capteurs divers. Par temps calme, le vol stationnaire est bluffant. Superbes photos et vidéos, définition et colorimétrie au rendez-vous. La batterie dure 20 min en mode vidéo, le pack s’avère indispensable. Cerise sur le gâteau, le drone est quasi silencieux à faible altitude, ce qui rend son usage discret. Bref, 2 fois atomisé !
