Campsite Coffee Chaos
My first attempt at using this did not go well. I attempted to brew too much because I didn’t measure my water. As a result, the filter head was completely full and stopped flowing. Thinking this was some “French Press” design, I attempted to adjust the flow by rotating the lower section of the filter head. This was a mistake. Thankfully, I was at home, but, unfortunately, I was inside, when the coffee slurry went pouring all over the counter and my hand. I didn’t get burned too badly, but I would advise anybody getting this to pre-measure their water in the mug and then add it to the kettle for heating.Aside from my mishap, now that I understand the design, I think this is a very clever portable coffee solution. The filter fits very cleanly onto the comfortably-sized mug. The coffee is comparable to other pour overs when using this campsite coffee maker. You still will need to provide a heat-source, water, and beans, and possibly a method of grinding to complete one’s morning brew.

Feel the quality
I’ve already bought two units and would definitely buy again if needed. I keep one at work and one at home. I use slightly coarse ground coffee to get a smooth brew. It’s well-made, you can feel the quality, and I highly recommend it.

No plastics!
I am disappointed in the fact that the description says stainless steel but the hot water drips through and comes through a sieve that is made of plastic. I am trying to eliminate all plastics from my life and so I purchased this product on that very promise. Other than that it is well made and very nice.

Not so fast!
Makes pretty good coffee but nothing extremely speacial. That being everyone rates this maker as being easy to clean, for me its big PIA and one of the reasons ill be looking for a different coffee maker.
