Length is good, width/volume are lacking but easily fixed
I normally wear a 12 wide shoe, 12.5 wide in running shoes; my foot is reasonably wide & tall.I tried both the 12 and 13 in this Reef sandal. With the 12, I couldn’t even get my foot under the thong.The 13 was better, but the strap still felt fairly tight on the outside. I otherwise liked the construction of the sandal, so I took the chance that it would loosen up a bit when broken in, and kept the 13.Unfortunately, things didn’t improve after several days of wear. However, because the sandal looked very sturdy, I took a risk on modifying it to improve the fit. Both ends of the strap have a “Y” shape that connect to the sole at two separate points, each about an inch in length. Since the tightness in mine was around the outside/front of the sandal, I used a utility knife to cut the outside front connection of the “Y” to the sole (a single cut as close as I could get to the rubber, so it would be less obvious), leaving just the back connection intact. At a glance, you can’t even tell it has been modified, and as I hoped, the construction is sturdy enough that I’ve had no trouble at all with only half the connection on that side.This freed up a ton of space for me, and the sandal fits very well now – snug, not too tight, and I have walked many miles since with no issues of rubbing, blistering, etc. The padding is excellent, and it is very comfortable as an everyday sandal. Would buy and mod again.

Extremely comfortable
The most comfortable jandal I’ve worn. I’ve been wearing them on my hard floors and the entire lower half off my body felt good. One improvement that could be made: the logo cut into the heel compromises comfort slightly (I can feel it there) and could be removed, but this is a minor thing.

These are not as comfy (a bit stiff on the upper part) as my original pair, which broke at the lake after two years of use. But they look decent and seem sturdy enough. Let’s see how many boat launches I can get before this pair falls apart! LOL!

Update 11/25/24 – It has now been over 6 years and both the Rover and Fanning are still going strong. The Rover is my hands down winner (Who needs a bottle opener covered in gum and dog poop). I wear them a lot (90% more than the Fannings) and they are showing no signs of breaking down. Still comfortable and secure fitting.I purchased two pairs of Reef Flops – Rover and Fanning. Both fit great. Of the two I like the Rover better because it have much more cushion than the Fanning. The Rover also fits a little more snug than the Fanning – which I like. The Fanning however seems to be a bit more durable than the rover but this remains to be seen as I have only had them for a month now. I previously owned a pair of Fannings and they lasted well over 5 years (maybe more, I don’t remember) of constant use until the toe strap finally broke. The Fannings also have a bottle opener built into the bottom, something I just noticed with the new pair. If only I would have known that earlier.All in all they are both great flip flops. I think the Rover is more comfortable to walk in but we will have to wait and see how durable they are.

Good quality/ Buena calidad
My husband uses them everyday all the time (seriously!), great quality. They lasted almost a year, which surprises me because my flipflops last less and get used less. I like they are all black, they keep looking good. Most comfortable thing I’ve ever had on my feet!
I’ve always had flat feet and have worn custom made orthodics over the years. I’ve tried just about every kind of insert made and every type of shoe to find a really comfortable fit, and just haven’t found anything until I found Reef flip flops. This particular one, Reef Rover, is the most comfortable thing I’ve ever had on my feet, ever. I’ve even tried the Reef shoes, but they don’t have the same comfort and feel that this flip flop does. Obviously everyone feet are different, but these are amazing! I wear them so much that they start wearing down after about 6-9 months. But that fact that nothing else on the planet feels as good I just buy another pair and don’t sweat it. Even after they seem to wear down they are still incredibly nice. I can still wear them around the house etc, but if I’m going to be on my feet a long time I’d put the newer ones on. I normally wear a 10.5. The size 10 is a bit too small, and the size 11, which is what I get, is a tad big, but is still just fine. AMAZING COMFORT!

Good Price, Good Quality, Good Fit
It can be challenging to get the right fit for a shoe when ordering on line. I’d say the Reefs for Men run true in size if you follow the sizing guide. The only issue you may run into is whether or not you have a wider/fatter foot since the foot bands are inset to the foot bed rather than attached to the outside of the flop. I purposely searched this out since I have a narrower foot and wanted to have a snugger fit. The inset bands on the flop are perfect for me and the size 11 was a good choice for my 10 3/4 foot length. If you have a wider foot, then you may want to look for bands that are on the outside of the footbed. Otherwise, great quality, good choice. I’ve had these for a number of months and no issues so far!

Bought these on short notice before going to Greece for a month. They held up impeccably well with daily use. I’ve been kayaking, going to the beach, daily hour long walks in the countryside.Photos attached for reference on how they look after 30 days of continual use.The arch support is subtle but much better than my old £10 flip flops. Plenty of padding for long works which is ideal I get corns and have wide feet.Really the only wear I can see is a little bit of the material has rubbed off inside the straps and the size label is coming off (after 30 days of daily use!).The only discomfort I had was that sand can sometimes get stuck on the inside of the straps and left red marks on my feet, nothing a bottle of water won’t fix on rinsing them.Recommend you buy a couple of sizes to see what fits – mine fit as expected which was great. I have an issue with other brands being too small aka Timberlands.
