    Excellent camping coffee maker
I’m not a coffee drinker but my fiance is an absolute bear in the morning if she doesn’t get her coffee. This is a game changer for getting her caffeine fix while camping and not having to deal with a complicated process to brew coffee. We like the fact that it holds exactly enough water to make one cup of coffee, so you don’t have to worry about the water becoming gross after sitting in the reservoir. It uses standard coffee pods and comes with a reusable coffee pod.We made one cup on battery to test it and it used a little less than 1/4 of the battery so I’m guessing we can probably make 3-4 cups per charge. It definitely takes longer on battery power but not excessively. If you can wait 3-4 minutes, you can wait 6-7 minutes. I have seen reviews that dock this for the battery life but with all the things you need to power while camping, just get a solar generator (Jackery or such).

Only for a cup or 2 a day
The coffee maker by SENIX was used for a week on a camping trip for seven days. It was always used with the 120V cord supplied with the coffee maker. While at home I made coffee with the battery. It worked as described. I drink a lot of coffee. The batter will only make 2 or 3 cups before it needs charging. So if you are a drinker like me, you need to have 120v nearby. It’s light weight, makes good coffee, and easy to use. But 4 stars because I’ve don’t know how long it will last.

    Would recommend
Took it camping this past weekend and it worked great! Just make sure battery is fully charged. I didn’t and got one cup before having to recharge. 3 cups fully charged. It’s light and very convenient if you are in a small space. Coffee is HOT! Best purchase I have made. Brews faster then expected as well.

    Coffee maker makes great coffee
Coffee maker was easy to use, coffee was hot and tasted great. The brew speed was a little long but it isn’t a big deal to me. I set up at flea markets and the coffee at their concession stands is terrible. It’s so nice to have a good cup of coffee when I want it.

Great for emergencies and off-grid…but battery may be weak link (only gave two brews)
If you live in an area where both summer AND winter storms have demonstrated the capability to interrupt electrical power and disrupt lives, you appreciate anything that makes living in such conditions more bearable. One of them is ready access to coffee (some folks might even consider it a necessity). That’s what led me to getting this item. This portable coffee maker is powered by a battery that’s just about the same size as those you would find in some of the regular-sized cordless drills currently out the market, and I was pleased to see that it comes complete with a charger. The battery took about an hour or so to charge (it may have had some residual charge from the factory). Once that was done, I connected it to the coffee maker and fired it up.I first ran it through a cleaning cycle of water only (per the instructions). Everything worked pretty much as it was supposed to: I filled up the water reservoir, put the cup in position, and pressed the starter button, which began flashing. Now, the manual for this thing states that it takes around 6-8 minutes to brew, and for it’s very first time, it pretty much took ALL of that time–at one point, I had started wondering if this thing was broken! I let it cool down and ran it a second time (water only), and I noticed that the brewing time shortened, getting closer to the 6-minute mark, at most. You’ll start to hear a telltale gurgling noise once the water has been heated enough for this thing to begin dispensing it.After running it twice to clean it, I checked the battery on a whim…to my surprise, it read half-full. Ordinarily, that would seem to imply that you’ll get three, maybe four brews out of the battery before you’ll need to charge it again. But when I ran it a third time to actually brew coffee, I was sitting and sitting there waiting for something to happen…and after about 10 minutes I started checking the machine to make certain I had set everything up right, only to find that the battery was almost fully depleted! So you can forget how hefty that battery feels: based on my results, you’ll only get two brews (that’s two cups of coffee) out of it before you’ll have to recharge or find an alternate power source. I think that’s ridiculous, given that it doesn’t have the burden of keeping brewed coffee warm like regular coffee makers, so I deducted a star.I connected it to a regular outlet and continued my test using a coffee-pod (from Starbucks, in case you’re wondering): even though it has the capability to work with coffee grounds, I didn’t feel like cleaning them up. I waited for a little while for it to cool off (I don’t like my coffee scalding hot), and I gave it a taste: It was pretty much what I’d expect from grocery-bought Starbucks coffee (that is, it’s the same as what I’d expect from it using our house’s regular coffee maker).Overall, I have to say I’m generally pleased with how this thing operates…although I think it’s a bit ridiculous that you can only expect two cups of coffee out of this thing in portable power mode (I guess you’ll need to get a couple of spare batteries for an extended outage scenario!). Even given that, I’d still say this is a handy addition to your supplies for either working off-grid or an emergency scenario because let’s face it: even a disaster goes just a little bit more smoothly with coffee. Recommended.

    works ok
it does work ok about 7 min to make a coffee on the battery an 4 min on 110 power, but it really should come with an extra battery as it takes 3 hrs to charge it, and now they want over a $100 for 1 extra battery
