ABOUT SOG
Our story begins in Vietnam, where members of a highly classified US special ops unit – known as MACV-SOG – carried a unique combat knife into the jungle on covert missions.
Years later, in 1986, that knife inspired a young designer, named Spencer Frazer, to found SOG Specialty Knives.
His mission: to reproduce the original SOG Bowie knife and pay tribute to the special ops unit that created it.
What began as a single commemorative model soon became a full line of innovative tools – field-proven by US Special Forces, even honored as the Navy SEAL knife of choice.
Today, SOG knives are carried with confidence into the most demanding situations. Forged out of tradition, hardened in the field, honed for you.
So whether you’re protecting others or leading an epic hunting expedition, tackling one of life’s everyday challenges or facing your most extreme conditions yet, lead the way with SOG.

    Well-rounded is right
This has been my usual pocket tool so, when it was lost on a trip, I bought a new one without hesitating. It is small and light enough to carry, but large enough for real work. The pliers are tough enough for reasonable use and the tips mate so precisely they can sometimes be used as tweezers. Screwdriver tips are well-finished (the Phillips with a rough texture that grips screw heads) and well-chosen. I like the smallest one, which works on many small adjustment screws. The knife is delicate and won’t take abuse, but has a long edge and a point. It is dulls easily, though. The file is, unusually, good enough to work on mild steel, has one single- and one double-cut side and a square slotting edge. There are some small but clever features. A holder for 1/4” driver bits holds them tightly when you squeeze the grips and releases when you open them. A protractor feature seems like it should be useful but I’ve never used it. Some ruler edges that are hard to read. All the tool blades lock, though not all are easy to open.

great buy, depending on the buyer
its really an incredible item. i have several multitools and this is my primary work piece. I think 5 stars is definitely a fair rating, but again, depending what you want out of a multitool it may not be the one for you.So, a little backgrpund on what i use it for:I work as a robotics technician so i work in a very large factory. This thing honestly saves me a a trip to my toolbox almost every day. Its held up well over a year already to daily use. The tools it has are perfect for my jobsite, none of the fat, like a saw i wont use, or a fish scaler. it has an awesome variety of screwdrivers (the jewelry flathead is a lifesaver), a file that gets used on aluminum molds at least a couple times a week, and good quality shear style cutters on the pliers. I will say that, obviously to keep it slim and lightweight, it feels a little less durable then something you would want to torque down full force on the pliers, but ive never broken it so maybe its just me. considering how well its held up i do think its very sturdy, and it does have a lifetime warranty so im not too worried. The only real reason i pick a wave+ as my daily carry instead is because of the scissors and the matte black option. But in my opinion, this tool is perfect as is.

    Great compact multitool
This is an excellent compact multitool. I was a little surprised I thought it was a full sized tool but that was my mistake. This is a very high quality tool with the SOG assisted grip on the pliers. The knife blade is a little small and thin for my liking. This unit has solid build quality and tools that fold out from the closed position. If you are looking for a compact multitool, this is a great choice.

Great little multi tool, would definitely buy again.
I’ve been interested in this multi tool ever since it was released and finally decided to give it a shot. I’m glad I did since it’s taking over the role of everyday carry now. The pliers are well made and seem like they would stand up well to anything I would possibly use it for.The main factor of choosing this multi tool over others is the size and weight. I have a few Leathermans and a Gerber also but they just don’t quite fit what I’m looking for. Don’t get me wrong, the Leathermans are excellent quality as well but heavier and bulkier in comparison. I started off with the Leatherman OHT and found that it was just too big to comfortably keep in my pocket along with keys, etc. I then purchased the Gerber MP600 since it was on sale and realized it’s just as long as the OHT but the quality was lacking, the tool itself rattles and just doesn’t have a solid feel to it. Since then I’ve purchased the Leatherman Wingman which is what I’ve been using and it’s a good quality tool in a compact size. What interested me in this Sog PowerAccess is the lighter weight along with unique features such as the magnetic hex bit holder and tools accessible from the outside of the handles. So far I’m impressed with it, the quality definitely tops the Gerber and reminds me of how solid the Leatherman feels. It’s the lightest and slimmest of the multi tools I’ve mentioned, features a good set of tools and is pretty well thought out with having the tools accessible from the outside. The only thing I could possibly ask for is having the pliers spring loaded. But other than that I couldn’t be happier.

    Better than PowerPint
I carry a multi-tool everyday. That being said I don’t use them everyday, but I do use them regularly for whatever comes my way. The reason I bought this multi-tool is because I carry and use the SOG Powepint quite often so when I saw the PowerAccess I thought it was just a bigger version…. It’s not.! It’s better.! It’s bigger, it’s stronger and can do anything the PowerPint can…. The only thing it can’t do is be that perfect EDC size and that’s why I still carry the PowerPint more than the PowerAccess.. but It”s a Great tool..! And I would highly recommend it…

    Awsome!
Heavy use and still holding strong. Impressive grip, great design. Just wish I would have considered a serated blade option. Tiny flat head has come in handy many times as it is VERY durable (a reflection of the overall material), considering how slim it is. Bit holder is pretty cool. The list goes on

bad pinch point, and a little birttle
The bit holder on the back of the plyers and the gears come together in a really bad pinch point. If you’re not careful and you’ve got you finger in that, it REALLY hurts. I think it could have been avoided if they didn’t have those sections of metal cut away and made it all flat. Also, other reviews are saying that these aren’t very durable and break really easily. I also have the larger version of these and both the jewlery driver and the small flathead on the can opener have snapped. To be fair I was being pretty rouph with them but I still feel like they broke a little too easily.Frankly, the only reason I like SOGs is the way the plyers fold up. I just think its neat. I don’t think you should buy these if you want something to rely on.My old letherman supertool 200 is still just fine, no snapped in half jaws or anything crazy like that. I think you can get them on ebay used at a pretty fair price.

Cette pince multifonction est extra : légère, pratique, et offre, via son système à engrenage, une force terrible ! Revers de la médaille, sa légèreté le fait paraitre fragile lors de grosse pression.

Nothing but good things to say here. Was looking for a tactical tool for my EDC, did some shopping around and found this one suggested on the SEAL GrinderPT website. Each tool pulls out easy, locks tight, and is easy to return to place. Folds great, gears aren’t too loose or tight, fits well in pocket w/ clip. Decided not to get the belt carry, not upset about this although if you’re hiking/hunting etc you might want the case.10/10
