Absolutely brilliant!
They are replacing our trusting 15-year-old energizer headlamps that still function perfectly but new design has a smaller footprint more comfortable design with removable belt. Also dimming function is super useful. Tilting mechanism works better and the switch is more quiet as well. The light is brighter than the original version, actually it is super bright when using a single center lens mode.This is absolutely the best lamp for the price he can get today and looks great in black color. I have checked other designs on Amazon and still Energizer beats everyone especially when you can remove batteries and replace them instantly. I have always used rechargeable Eneloop batteries with great results.I highly recommend these head lamps for a great design, reliability and elegant look.I used them for almost any kind of work even in the daytime when you have to focus light on certain area or your tool when you’re working on something.I think dimming function adds a great option when you want to be more subtle or save the battery life.The photos show the difference between the original old design comparing to new.

Excellent value for Occasional use
I must own 4 or 5 high end Petzl and Diamondback LED headlamps. In fairness , those are built more solidly and with better waterproofness than these Energizer brands. However, I can never seem to find one of those when I need one ( and often the rechargeable feature has them dead when I do.) Last night was one of those times where I went fishing and needed a headlamp with red LEDs but could not locate one around the house. Anyway, I took a chance of this 4 pack and am pretty impressed. Here is what I like:- These are light weight, not too big and reasonably comfortable to wear on my head or around my neck.-Although there are ZERO instructions included, it wasn’t too hard to figure out how to cycle through the various settings.-Versitile Light Settings. The red LEDs are just right for seeing around a tent or boat at night.The white LEDs can be set to a wide variaty of intensities just by holding the button until you get the brightness you want.- Price and Value: The lights are priced low enough where it’s feasable to buy enough to stash here and there around the house. They even come with real Energizer batteries ( Energizer AAA’s whcih arn’t cheap in their own right.)Things that could be improved:- No Instructions? It would be nice if they came with SOME type of operating instructions. Even a QR code would be helpful to get you started.- AAA Batterys: I’m not thrilled with the use of AAA sized batteries. They tend to be expensive and never accesable when I need to replace them. ( Better than a USB recharge though)All in all, these are good enough that i ordered another set to assure I have one stasshed where ever I might want one.

Astronomy friendly headlamp
Great for star gazing; the red light is first and once it is on for 10 seconds pressing the button again turns it off instead of cycling to the bright white light.

Hands free, great for camping
This is my second purchase. More people in my family wanted them. The best feature is hands free. It is great for camping, working in dark areas, and when you need to search your xar for something and night.
