Great sturdy beautiful shoe rack bench.
This is a super sturdy yet beautiful and functional shoe rack bench. I love the flip on top to place some small items inside. It was easy to put together. But do keep in mind that if you are shorter than 5’4”, it might be too tall for someone to sit on it comfortably to put on and take off their shoes. I am 5’4”, just tall enough.

Good quality materials (wood and hardware). Easy to assemble. Very sturdy! Storage size is more than adequate (for a grandpa). Excellent value.The Installation manual is a little brief in explaining the assembly steps. However, if you have had previous experience with interpreting installation manuals that are prepared by folks whose first language is not English, you should not have any serious problems. It is easier to assemble with an assistant, such as holding the legs in place while the other starts the anchor screws. My 11-year-old grandson did 90% of the work, putting this bench together, with very little guidance from me (I was the “assistant” holding the legs in place.).

It takes about 20 minutes to put together. The only hiccup you might have is the installation of the legs. It’s definitely not impossible to do on your own, I did, but if you have an extra set of hands to hold the legs in place as you affix them it would definitely make the process easier.It’s very sturdy and it’s for sure made of solid wood. I wish the storage portion had soft close hinges because the lid is heavy and you can hurt yourself if you’re not paying attention. For that part alone, please be mindful if you have young children that like to get into things. Their fingers can EASILY be pinched.Apart from that, I purchased it for our entryway so my elderly mom can put on her shoes safely. She mainly wears diabetic shoes. You may ask why that detail is important. Well it’s because diabetic shoes have thick soles. I was able to make use of all three shelves, it’s a tight fit. All of her shoes are low tops and they still are kind of compressed. If you have wide shoes and or thick soled shoes, you’ll only be able to fit two pairs of shoes per shelf. I’d say this is good for converses, ballet flats, loafers, slippers if you want to get the full benefit of all three shelves.It is really nice looking and looks more expensive than the price suggests, HOWEVER there was some minimal damage to some of the legs. It was small so I’m not upset about it, but if you pay for something brand new you’d like for it to arrive in pristine condition.All in all: it looks good, it’s functional (to an extent), it’s relatively easy to put together with the main degree of difficulty revolving around the legs, it feels solid once put together, the lid is heavy and may crash down on your fingers, there’s not many nooks and crannies so it’s easy to clean, and it may arrive with so dings and scratches

Excellent bench for entryway
This bench is beautiful. It is made of excellent quality, solid wood!! Even the shelves are solid wood and…adjustable. it holds a lot of shoes, too! My dad is a carpenter and put it together within minutes. He is very impressed with the quality of this bench. It’s really sturdy and holds a lot of weight. The color is beautiful, not too dark, not too light. It has a really nice storage bench and works well in my mudroom!!

Very helpful, stable and attractive new bench seat!
We love our new bench seat. It is very helpful and attractive. We use it in the mudroom. It has just enough room with adjustable shelves for the two of us. We are even able to just use 2 shelves, so our boots and several other pairs of shoes fit easily. And the bench is stable enough to hold our combined weight, which is about 350 pounds. Also, assembly is easy.
