  1. Such wow

    Very worth price
First, be aware that every review here seems to be about a different frame. The frame that I am reviewing is a 5″ freestyle frame designed very similarly to an Apex or QAV-S.I had enough used but still working parts for an entire build, except for a frame, and saw this for 27$. I thought it would be nice to have a quad that I didn’t mind losing/destroying, a beater, so I got it.The design and cut of the carbon is pretty good. My kit did not include any sort of keystone piece. I don’t know if it was missing or just doesn’t exist. That’s my largest – really my only – complaint about the carbon. Looking at blackbox, it could probably use such a piece because it vibrates a lot at 220Hz. Despite the keystone/brace issue, the frame went together well and tightened up into a reasonably solid object. The good news is that Betaflight handles the vibrations fine these days, especially with RPM filtering, and the frame flies really well even with all-used components on it and stock pids. I really was not expecting much out of it but, as an owner of the frames that clearly inspired the design of this one, I am pretty impressed with it. It is a lot better than it has any right to be.The standoffs strip easily and should all be replaced. I used 4x28mm and 4x20mm. It’s easiest to get to 28 with a 25 and a 3mm spacer. The provided screws are short but otherwise fine. If you use a branded plastics kit from an fpv vendor, it will more or less fit, but will also make you see that it is a frame unto itself. it is its own thing. You will need longer screws for any additional plastic, GoPro mount, etc. You pretty much need m3x10mm anywhere that the provided screws don’t work. All in all, a great value when competing frames are 2-3x more expensive. No mounts or extras, but it lets you go your own way, so that’s cool too.

Not good for a FC/ESC stack
This review is for the Apex clone. The arm screws are about 1mm too tall. You’ll need about 3mm of clearance to the bottom of the FC/ESC instead of 2mm. This is an issue with a FC/ESC stack. Raising the ESC will make the stack too tall in an already tight build. This will work ok on an on-arm ESC build. Also many sacrifices were made in this clone that severely weakens it compared to the original. There are holes placed at certain stress points that are not in the original. They give you a useless keystone in the box I got. It’s made of TPU. The point of the carbon fiber version in the original is to lock the arms and add rigidity.

    Sweet!!
Sweet Frame, had to use a dremel to get a runcam swift2 to fit, but was not to much effort. Fly’s great and very strong!! PDB not the best but does the job!!

    Great customer service.
Too mamy issues to be happy with the cost of the frame.Cons1- CF varries from 3.7mm to 4.3mm thickeness2- loads of flex is the frame.3- camera mount is friction fit and will almost definetly fly off in the first crash. I will not mount a camera without a different mount.4- battery strap supplied is almost 2times too big. Almost wraps my rline 1550 mah battery twice.5- beveled edges are really rough and i expect delamination of the CF very quickly. The goodArrived quicklyCheap way to test stretch x……Edit: after spending a couple days deciding if i shouod return this frame or not. I decided to work with it. I changed the battwry strap, sanded down all the edging and painted and clearcoated the frame.FPVdrone contacted me about the frame and unfortunatelt i did not respond.Today i had a surprise paxkage in the mail with a nice hand written note from FPVDrone. It was a new frame. The note stated that they had corrected the battery strap and verified the thickness of the arms.I am very pleased with the customer service fron this dealer and will not hesitate in the future from buying from them. I have edited my review on this frame strictly fie thw outstanding customer service.Last pic is of the old frame i finished and left is of the new frame i recieved.

    SUPER DURABLE FRAME!
This frame is amazing! I don’t have a lot of experience with many builds but I can absolutely say this frame is durable! After putting together a build with a bad flight controller, it flew great for a minute and then, at what appeared to be about 500 ft up it just died. It came down like a rock and had zero damage to the frame. After rebuilding it I put new props on it and sure enough one prop exploded in the air and again, came tumbling down and jammed into the ground. To my surprise, it again had no damage to the frame. I would gladly buy another! For the money you really can’t complain. The only problem I had was there isn’t much room for a PDB, FC, AIO ESC, and VTX in a single four tier stack. I ended up only being able to stack the PDB and FC then mounting four individual the ESCs to the arms and attaching my receiver to the top of the frame with zip ties. I haven’t been able to fly FPV yet as I can’t find a VTX to fit yet. I am looking at getting another frame and using a stackable VTX with an AIO FC with PDB ESC on a single board making for two tier stack. Hoping to do this soon!!!

    Two Stars
Camera mount isn’t good. Top of frame is weak. Do like the stretch x though.
