Best Barefoot Water Shoes I have every owned!
I bought these barefoot water shoes for an annual hiking trip that I do every year, do to having to cross a river multiple times. The river is riddled with very slippery sharp glacial rocks that would normally tear your feet up. These shoes were an exact fit to my measurements, and easy to put on and take off. They are very breathable and have ventilation holes in the bottoms with mesh wire screen in them so that air and water can freely move in and out. The soles are thick and very protective of your feet and toes, and also have a tire like all terrain and all weather tread. They were so comfortable and all purpose that I hiked in them for more than half of the trip, and also wore them most of the time when hanging out at our campsite. The whole trip I kept telling everyone, “these barefoot shoes are the best $50 I spent on gear this year!”

Entry is Tight – Very Snug Fit
I wear a size 11 in most tennis and hiking shoes. The size of the footbed is pretty true to size but the top portion of the shoe where your foot enters the shoe and exits is very tight. I had to struggle a little to get the shoe on my foot. I have a high in-step. Once on my feet I found the shoes are comfortable with a good amount of support. More support than other aqua shoes that I have owned. The sole provides good grip on wet surfaces, and I like the fact that the shoe has drainage holes in the bottom of the sole. Good quality materials are used, time will tell how durable the shoe is.

Great shoes for walking riverbeds and swimming. Sharp rocks are no problem
I bought these shoes to replace a pair of water shoes that were starting to deteriorate and were really uncomfortable. It took an hour or so of having these on until I got used to the 3 toe pockets. Initially I was concerned they wouldn’t fit my toes. My second toe is longer than my big toe, then the last 3 are all much shorter and sort of curl under. Was not a problem with these shoes and once you get used to the feeling of the material between your first 3 toes they are pretty comfy. There is a velcro strap over the instep, as well as a cinch strap behind the heel, so you can get these pretty well adjusted to your feet. I liked the adjustments, since most water shoes I have had in the past never seem to fit well. These are MUCH wider than a normal “shoe” style shoe. I found it to be a big help in the water. The wider toe-box offset the disadvantage of swimming in water with shoes on- the shape ends up being almost like a mini fin. I could swim as good or better than if I had been barefoot. I have a 4 and 5 year old that wear life preservers and I swim around with. With these shoes on there were no problems keeping up with them (or treading water when they were trying to drown me). They also did fairly well walking along the riverbank and river bottoms. The area I am in has a lot of flint, and flakes can be razor sharp (this is the stuff arrowheads were made of). The sole protected me from any cuts or scrapes and I had no issues stepping on branches or with thorns. The shoes are more of a barefoot style- the soles are extremely flexible and don’t really provide any support. If you are unaccustomed to the this type of shoe and want to use them for anything other than swimming you may need a transitional period. When you step on an object (rock, tree branch, etc.) the shoe is going to flex around it. You will feel the edges and points of the object. It won’t penetrate the shoe, but if you are on uneven terrain (such as a rock riverbed) your feet may get sore after awhile. I prefer to go barefoot and wear this style shoe so I had no issues with it, but something to be aware of. If you are on sandy beaches, mostly in a kayak, or swimming, this won’t be as much of an issue.Bottom Line- These were exactly what I needed in a water shoe for river use and when these are worn out I will buy the same model as replacements.

    Sizes are way off
These shoes appear to be very well made. I can’t give much more of a review due to their size being way off. I wear a 10.5 almost always but sometimes I need an 11. So I ordered the size 11. Well when it arrived I tried them on. The right foot I was able to get on but my toes were jambed right up to the end of the shoe, very uncomfortable. I still decided to try the left shoe and was surprised as it was so small I couldn’t even get it on. There is no label on the shoe itself only a tag attached to the rubber string the two shoes were tied together with. It said size 11. I have never had a left shoe smaller than the right. Something is very wrong with the sizing so I sent them back and ordered a 12 the largest size. Hope they fit and I will review them once they arrive.

    Love the fit
I like these shoes for the beach and the lake. They are lightweight and pretty slip resistant on most surfaces. The size is true fit, but I think you want them somewhat small so they will stay tight and not let in rocks. They are definitely an improvement over most of the beach store water shoes. They look pretty good but the functionality is their most important feature.

    Worst water shoe ever.
This seemed like a neat water shoe. Figured the individual toes and minimalist yet rugged sole would work well. Was very disappointed on so many levels with these. First off the fit was terrible. Big toe and the one right next to it were tough to get in and out of the shoe wet or dry. The toe box that the rest of the toes went into was to large and oddly shaped so your foot did not plant correctly when walking.Looking at the shoes design with the drainage holes and the screen I thought that sand would not get in the shoes. I was very wrong. Within minutes of wearing these on the beach I had sand, and small rocks all through out the shoe. Also the spandex that the entire shoe except for the sole is made of offers little protection from rocks or sticks if you venture off the beaten path.Without exageration this is the worst water shoe I have ever purchased. Brought these on a trip to Hawaii and after the first short miserable experience with them I was forced to buy a replacement or go without for the trip. The cheap $20 pair that I picked up performed far better than these. Poor design, poor execution, there is no way they put these through any real world testing as they literally filled with sand in seconds. Whats the point of water shoes if they fill with sand and rocks the moment you step on the beach?

These are amazing water shoes are amaizing. They are true to size so make sure its a proper fit. Fits like a sock with great sole protection and great water drainage. I wore these on and off the beach. Even did some rock climbing. These are comfortable for all day wear. Only complaint is they need more color options. I will certainly purchase this brand again.

I got these to replace my deceased fila barefoots, I had for 10 years. Yesterday I put them on, we went to Costco, 1 hour from our house, walked every isle and shopped, then went to DSW, walk around every isle, then went to SuperKing Supermarket, did a complete shopping, then 1 more hour home, removed shoes, feet felt fantastic, no red spots, no calluses, and feet were so soft. My filas were US 11 so I got these the same, fit perfectly, but comfortably tight. I will be ordering more.
