HORRIBLE REDNESS IN MY BABY SKIN
Horrible. You can see the picture of my 2 year-old baby skin after applying the product. Do not recommend at all. Please do not use it!! It took 1 hour to remove the redness

Moisturizer
I know it is supposed to be for babies, but I wanted a healthier option for myself. Great after-sun product. I applied every day after showering from being on the beach all day. I feel like it helped my skin from peeling or losing its tan as quickly. It is gel, so it is a lighter feeling when applying, which was nice after sweating all day. I did feel like I had to reapply moisturizer a little while later, so that is why I gave it 4 stars.

Smells horrid
Starting with the exceptionally bad. Smells horrible as a body product, like freshly sharpened No2 pencils. I think it is from the Calendula, as an essential oil that flower does smell woody with a little bit of decaying plant matter mixed in. Definitely does not smell anything similar to melon.Great texture. Lots of air bubbles, is light and feels like a mousse rather than a lotion. Absorbs quickly. Not horrible for skin that is a little dry from sun exposure, isn’t effective for any kind of sun damage but it is better than nothing. Not a great value all comsidering.

Works well for sun burn irritation
Helped so much with my sun burn and chafed skin. I prefer the ingredients in this product more than other after sun products. It’s also a creamy gel consistency that is very moisturizing and cooling. It left my skin very smooth. I would definitely recommend this product.

Perfect for After Sun Skin Care
Really nice sun skin care product for little ones. Safe and gentle on the skin. Perfect for applying after a long day in the sun or after the pool. Absorbs nicely and leaves skin feeling moisturized.

Lightweight with a pleasant scent
A very lightweight lotion that feels like it disappears into the skin. The scent is strong at first. One review said melon bubblegum and I definitely get that scent but after rubbing it in the scent doesn’t stay on the skin and doesn’t smell like anything after a few minutes.

Nice Cream, But Some Concerns
I’m familiar with Babyganics, and have previously used their SPF 50 sunscreen sticks. But, this is my first time trying their after sun care line. It’s a pretty sizable 5oz bottle that’s priced comparable to higher-end drug store brands.The consistency of this gel cream is medium thick, but it applies smoothly, dries quickly and doesn’t leave any kind of residue. There’s also a slight cooling sensation that actually lingers for a bit, but it’s much more mild than a menthol or camphor rub. The scent is slightly fruity, and reminds me of watermelon bubblegum. I actually find it quite pleasant, and think the name “mellow melon” is fitting. At surface value, I really like this cream, and think it can be used to sooth not only sunburns but dry skin in general.However, it’s hard for me to review this product without acknowledging the controversy surrounding the brand. While they have a sweet origin story and admirable mission, there’s been some issues with recalls and lawsuits. So I just suggest people do their due diligence if they have any concerns. At this time, I’m cautiously giving this after sun gel cream 4 stars, with the understanding that I’ll revise my rating should any future issues come to my attention.
