Super Convenient For Travel
This Pink Baggalini Sling Sack is my Italy Travel Hero! We just returned from a month’s jaunt to Italy where this bag was always on me. The back zipper pocket is perfect for safely storing a passport. The interior of the main compartment is RFID and easy to stow CCs in there with a fast access zippered pocket. I loved the bungee cord for keys at the hotels and Airbnb’s I knew they were attached and safe. I will share that the front pocket does fit an iPhone 15 Pro Max and things like gum, lip balm, etc. The sling strap can be worn left or right, and on your front or back (In Europe ALWAYS on my front especially on the Metro in Italy) — The Strap is padded and you can hook sunglasses on it. I can’t say enough great about the bag. It is washable, lightweight, and durable. For me, it was what I needed to go through my days and I always had what I needed with me.

5 steps forward, 1 step back
I tried 6 different sling bags and this one was the winner – yes, it was MUCH more expensive than the others, but for me it was a good combination of size and pockets. It was also the best made of the slings, with better quality zippers and no loose threads.I wear it as a crossbody sling, over my right shoulder and around my neck so that the main zippered side pocket functions as the “top” opening, making it more of an east-west purse than a “lose stuff in the bottom of a deep backpack” pocket. The bag does have a clip to wear the other way, but then the main pocket would be facing away from you.Pros (the 5 steps forward)-Very light, even packed up with my stuff.-Zippered interior pocket, which I consider a must for my meds, my epipen, eye drops, glasses wipes, etc.-Large enough exterior back pocket to fit any phone.-Well made.Things I didn’t like (the 1 step backward)-The strap is barely long enough to wear as a cross body sling (I am almost 6′ tall, that may be why).-Didn’t really care for any of the colors it comes in. I ended up with the patterned grey & black. Would have preferred a more “twill” based fabric, as this looks and feels like a nylon strap. It’s probably pretty good at being water repellent, though.-the strap is much wider than it needs to be – it’s a lightweight bag and even stuffed full doesn’t need this beefy, wide strap- the key clip is the very bottom of the main pocket, so you have to dig to get it. Would have preferred a small exterior zip pocket for key fobs.-the water bottle pocket is small and given the way the bag hangs, is at the bottom of the purse. Looks likely to fall out. I think I’d rather dispense with the water bottle pocket than make it bigger. Or add clips to the strap to hang a real water bottle from.The TLDR; the best of the bunch I tried and I am keeping it.

I purchased four different Baggallini sling bags in slightly different styles and returned three of them, including this one. I’ve written reviews for all, including the one I kept.First, here were my top criteria for this style of bag: 1. adjustable strap that could be worn over either shoulder, 2. pockets and compartments that made sense and seemed like a practical use of space, 3. enough room to function as my personal item for long trips (Europe, etc.) and also be functional as my “Mom bag” for weekend sports days (which would be how this is mostly used), 4. comfortable wearing in the front and in the back. Secondary criteria for me were: 1. designated water bottle holder, 2. practical travel/anti-theft features.This particular bag did not meet all of my top or secondary criteria for the following reasons:Space is not very functional or accessible. You can only access the main pocket with a side zipper. The photos in the listing show the bag nicely packed, just be aware that it’s sitting on its side for these. And it’s a weirdly awkward space where I can see items getting easily lost or pushed to the bottom. There is no top access at all.The front pocket is hard to access. This is not specifically an anti-theft model, but the zipper is tucked under a flap of fabric. I’m sure this is for added security, but it makes getting anything in or out of the pocket hard. And if the back were packed even close to full, I don’t think this would be functional.On the plus side, the strap was great. Nicely padded, easy to adjust. People of all sizes can find a comfortable length for them. Very easy to switch the strap from one side to another to change shoulders.The water bottle holder is useless. A serious waste of fabric and cost. As others have noted in their reviews, you can BARELY squeeze a 12-16oz one-time use bottle in the pocket when it is fully unzipped. Don’t even think that a reusable bottle of any significant size will fit.Since anti-theft was secondary to me, it was fine that this model didn’t have that. But the zippers were good quality and the bag overall was well made and seemed like sturdy construction.The negatives outweighed the pluses for me on this one and I sent it back.

Love this bag! It is the perfect size for everything I normally carry in my purse. It has two water bottle holders, a built in wallet, tons of pockets and storage. It is lightweight, comfortable to carry and attractive to boot. It also has lots of security features for travelers. I’m so glad that I found this bag!

Perfect bag!
I have a lot of purses, and favor Baggallini because of the thoughtful functionality. But this bag has become my favorite. The silver matches everything. It is very well organized and I can easily retrieve everything I need without having to blindly search. It holds all my essentials including a water bottle, sunglasses, keys, earbuds, wallet, and more and still has room for a scarf or light jacket. Easy to pick up with two different handles and the crossbody strap is very comfortable. I’ve taken it kayaking, on dog walks, to fairs, and restaurants. It is my go-to travel bag. I highly recommend this bag!

Seems good quality, but quite small. Needs to be a bit bigger to be a real day bag for travel. I was trying to replace my much loved older baggalini that is perfect.
