I wanted to love this so much
I really love bag smart bags. I already own a camera backpack version. But, found it be so heavy during my last few trips, so decided to try the roller backpack version.I love how it looks and it’s the perfect size. I like how the backpack straps have its own little compartment and the wheels get covered so your clothes don’t get dirty. However, the camera insert is flimsy and not sturdy or very thick. I feel like it wouldn’t protect my camera gear. The telescopic handle is in the middle and it is protuding through the camera insert that comes with the bag. I am a bird photographer and usually pack my camera attached to my 200-800mm lens in the middle. Because I really wanted this to work, I bought a camera insert, and it was perfect protection, but I felt it would be even better if the insert converts into a backpack so I can leave the roller behind at the hotel while traveling and take the camera and bag without having to take the roller. I also could barely close this bag with the insert I bought. It almost worked.I so wanted to love this roller backpack and tried to make it work, but decided to return it and find something that would work better for me.I think of you have smaller lenses and gear out may work better.

Works perfect for what I need (3 lenses, adapters, tripod placement, pockets, backpack style)
Perfect for my camera body and 3 lenses, extender, and all my other goodies. Also, the top compartment could hold some sandwiches, snacks, or other essentials (don’t recommend any liquids as they could leak into the bag). Was looking for a backpack style with the tripod holder in the side and will accommodate my large lense. This worked perfectly. Quality is as good as my OEM cannon bag (which was smaller). This may not work for a heavy user and the material is not quite like a camping/hiking type bag. Although sturdy, it is not really one you want to toss on the ground. But you really don’t want to do that with a camera bag anyway.

    Plenty of storage space.
I have a Canon Rebel T5i, the kit lens, a 100mm macro lens, and a 50mm lens. I also carry a laptop, a Zoom H1n handy recorder, battery charger for the camera batteries, two large USB battery packs, one smaller USB battery pack, an external hard drive, laptop charger, spare camera batteries, a small XP drawing tablet, an assortment of cables and chords, a small planner, a rocketbook, a collection of pens, a Turtle Beach Atom control for my phone, a small 8bitDo controller that looks like a Super Nintendo controller. The area intended for the camera and lenses is very accommodating. The additional pockets make it easy to carry everything and easy to access. The build quality is nice, but not as nice as the Manfrotto that it replaced. My old camera backpack had a sturdier handle and always sat upright. This one feels like it could tip over pretty easily. Over all though it offers more space than my previous backpack and it’s very functional, especially for the price.

    Fits everything and lightweight!
Bought this for an upcoming trip and the only complaint I have is that it does not have a luggage strap, but it fits all my crap. I like that it has an easy access top compartment for snacks, etc for the plane. It has so many pockets that I’ll never have to dig to find things as long as I remember what compartment I put them in. I fit a mirrorless body with 100-500 lens, 25-105 lens, 16mm lens, extender, chargers, batteries, hard drive, laptop, iPad, phone, etc. and it weighed a total of 25lbs. Really surprised at how lightweight it was fully packed!
