Brewing
It’s good enough to make coffee on a road trip. It does take a little long to heat up.

Good coffee maker on the go!
Great travel size coffee machine. Coffee tastes fine. Saves money in the long run from the coffee shops.Pros:-Uses Kcups/pods-Heats water-Can take AAA batteries to use brewing function, just add hot water-Fits most cup holders-Light weight-Free of coffee grinds-Button controls are simple & easy to useCons:-Water takes 20 minutes to heat-Brewing 2 minutes-Not rechargeable so requires 12v DC wall plug taking away from portability. Only comes with car power supply adapter.-Challenging to clean (Can’t get outside components wet)-Makes small cup of coffee, about 8oz.Overall it depends on your needs. Works for me.

Ok portable espresso maker but weird design choices
As someone who makes espresso often I was curious to try this portable setup. The espresso maker itself seems sturdy and the one button operation works fine, but the design is honestly pretty bad. You have to unscrew the bottom lid and then place the machine on top of the lid while its unscrewed to catch the espresso, which leaves lots of room for it tipping over. Why not just include a larger cup so it can stay screwed on while brewing? Seems like a simple fix. The grinder that comes with it isn’t great either, it doesn’t grind the beans consistently which is a problem if you care about getting a decent shot. I ended up just using my regular grinder instead. The portability is nice for camping or travel I guess, and it does actually make espresso without needing an outlet which is cool. But if your used to making good espresso at home this will feel like a downgrade. Its more of a novelty or emergency backup than something I’d want to use regularly. Might be fine for someone who just wants caffeine on the go and doesn’t care too much about quality.

Strong Coffee!
The Hawok coffee maker makes a decent cup of coffee! albiet a small cup :)I don’t use k cups but the included mesh basket works well with medium fine grounds. Don’t use too fine of a ground or some will end up in your coffee. It takes almost exactly 20 minutes for the water to heat up and almost exactly 2 minutes for the brew cycle to complete in my tests. So 22 minutes total for one small cup of coffee. To it’s credit though, it makes decent coffee. Bout as good (or better) as a cheap drip coffee maker from target. It uses 6 amps while heating up the water. about 72w. And since it runs for 20 minutes that equals approximately 24Wh of total power used to brew one cup. Something to keep in mind if your gonna run this off some kind of mobile power thingy. All in all it gets 5 stars.

makes good coffee once you figure it out
This portable espresso machine and grinder is an intriguing concept, but it comes with a few quirks. It charges via USB-C and can heat water to brew with either ground coffee in a portafilter or Nespresso-style pods. However, the documentation is severely lacking, making it a bit of a puzzle to figure out, especially if you’re not already familiar with pod systems.Once you get past the initial learning curve, which was frustrating due to poor instructions and tiny images, the device actually makes a decent shot of espresso. I was pleasantly surprised by the grinder’s effectiveness. While it feels lightly built and isn’t a “true” burr grinder in the traditional sense, it’s easy to adjust and produces a fine enough grind for a nice crema and good extraction. The battery life is decent for a few cups if you’re heating the water, but the claim of 200 cups with pre-heated water seems a bit optimistic. This brings up my main question: who is this device really for? If you’re heating water separately, a battery-powered machine might not be the most logical choice in many scenarios, like in your kitchen where traditional machines shine. It seems best suited for very specific “on-the-go” situations, like camping, if you’re already heating water. The single-button control system, common on many modern gadgets, adds to the learning curve as you try to remember different functions for different presses. The documentation’s tiny text and images are a real hurdle, and the lack of a PDF or video online makes it even harder to master. Most users would likely give up in frustration, as I almost did.Ultimately, while the device can produce a good espresso once you’ve sorted it out, the poor documentation is a significant drawback. I’d recommend the manufacturer invest in a serious update to the user guide. It seems like it’s probably best suited for pod coffee users, as that’s a much simpler and cleaner use case for a portable device, especially when running water isn’t readily available for cleanup. For those who prefer grinding their own beans, the cleanup without running water will be a bit of a chore.

Great machine
I researched a lot of mobile coffee machine. This one is great. Makes excellent coffee, much better than my keurig. I think the reason it is better is that the coffee is circulated a few time thru the coffee pod. I also like that it uses k cups. great purchase.I have been using it a lot for the last 10 months and I just love the thing. Can not understand the subpar reviews. It takes about 8-10 minutes to brew about 8 oz of the best cup of coffee. I am on the road alot and love it.
