One downside is that there isn’t a memory feature where it remembers the light setting when you turn it off, so you may have to cycle through the settings when you turn it on. The hands-free motion sensor is a convenient feature for quickly turning the light on or off with a wave of your hand when your hands are full. However, I did find that the hands-free sensor could be overly sensitive, occasionally activating or deactivating the light when my head got too close to objects like getting in or out of a tent. Despite this minor flaw, the combination of superior brightness, long battery life, versatile lighting modes, and comfortable, lightweight design solidifies this headlamp as an outstanding investment and an essential tool for any outdoor enthusiast.

Good inexpensive headlamp. Auto mode isn’t really useable.
It’s a good basic little headlamp for the money. Quality, fit and finish are fine given the cost. Relatively lightweight but doesn’t feel/look cheap. The band is a nice material, comfortable, and works well to keep in in place. Easy to wear. The sensor/hand wave-mode, whatever you want to call it, is gimmicky. Turns on and off way too much as you change where you’re looking. Just leave that button off. But the rest controlled from the other button works well. Doesn’t look like 1000 lumens to me but it does put out a decent amount of light on high. Color temp is fine. Has more of a spot beam with some spill. A little bit of a greenish halo at the edges but that’s being nit-picky with a ~$10 light. The other modes also are good and step down at useful levels. No memory, you have to just step through the various levels/functions. Battery life seems very good. Overall, it’s a pretty nice inexpensive little light and for what it is I like it.
