Using with Some Reservations
I am an avid traveler and in the last couple of years have mostly replaced all of my previous travel toiletry containers with pouches like these. Almost all of my other pouches are of a similar style, but these are a little bit different. The cap attaches on the corner instead of one side. Additionally, the opening is significantly narrower and the cap twists off instead of having a flip cap. I will admit that I did not look as closely when I ordered this set to see these differences, but I would still have been intrigued enough to order them regardless.To start, it is not obvious from the product page that the “auxiliary tools” are just needleless syringes. Not sure if they were worried about using the word syringe or if they simply translated it incorrectly into English. Either way, that’s what they are. I’m actually a bit impressed because honestly I thought I was the only one who used a syringe to fill travel pouches. I’ve never seen them included in any other sets. In this case the syringes are critical because otherwise it is almost impossible to insert any product into the pouches because the opening is so narrow. It is even more narrow than an average dropper in a bottle of serum. Immediately that makes me like these less. Then I discovered that instead of the usual flip up top, these only have a screw top, and it is the tiniest little top you’ve ever seen. I have little slender fingers and I can guarantee I am going to constantly drop these. Forget trying to use these pouches in the shower since you’d have to put the top down somewhere and hope it doesn’t wash down the drain. I’m also a little skeptical about the cap itself. It only takes a couple of turns, so I would worry that in a packed bag jumbling around it might get knocked loose. The set I received actually had two extra pouches (32) but the expected 30 caps, three syringes and two sheets of labels which I would never use since they will wash off too easily. Instead I use a sharpie to mark the actual pouch.At a price point of $6 USD for 30 pouches, that’s really inexpensive. But in the end given the other design challenges, I wouldn’t order these again. I’ll still be able to find ways of using these, but it will be more limited and I probably will not make any effort to reuse these unless it is with the exact same product because I will not want the bother of trying to clean these out.

GoodinexpensiveBadsometimes fiddly to get product into a pouch depending on viscosityThis comes with 30 pouches and screw tops, 3 mini syringes, and 3 multicolored labels. The 20ml capacity is about 2/3rds of one ounce, as such are under the 3oz/100ml airport travel limit per container. They’re decently thick that and seem to durable enough for normal enough. It is easier to transfer if you squeeze out all of the air first before filling. Each one should be enough for most purposes of a weekend, unless you have long hair and washing your hair multiple times. With there being 30 pouches you get 600ml/20oz of liquid in total usage. And being refillable they’ll easily make their money back. Instead of wasting money and plastic on travel-sized bottles at a grocery store which is bad environmentally.

Of course that requires that I carry less than the 3oz per item and whatever fits into a quart size bag. Travel sized items and containers take up alot of space. Not to mention they are pricey. Often nearly the same price as full sized, like prestige beauty products. And then there are the products that don’t’ come in travel size.These little pouches are very nice. The plastic is thick and the caps screw on tightly. Filling them isn’t difficult but takes some time and effort to use the included syringes to decant products into the pouches. I tried face products ranging from watery serums to thick face cream. I also decanted toothpaste as a back up to my travel size that’s half way used. I have long hair and shampoo and conditioner would require all 15 pouches for a week long trip. I’ll use travel bottles for those products.I didn’t break the seal on the cap but when I tightly closed the cap, I couldn’t get any leakage from any of the pouches. I haven’t tried them on am airplane and maybe that’s what breaking the cap seal is for. The syringes are small and a larger one would be appreciated for thicker products as well as decanted more than a tiny amount over and over. The labels are a nice bonus but I was unable to write on any of the yellow ones. I tried with pen and sharpie marker. No luck I’ll be making my own labels anyway so that they are nice and neat looking.Overall, this is a nice set of travel pouches. They can be reused but I don’t think they would be very easy to wash out. It would be best to reuse for the same or similar product. Other than the syringe and label issues, I can recommend these travel pouches.
